The security was still out.

Hadn't they checked the room before they started? I mean it would be dumb to have this many people on school property without the assurance that if something goes wrong they would have it on tape.

UA was getting slack. They started thinking of themselves too much like a normal school, and not a perfect target to dismantle hero society. Sure you could add the other elite schools to the equations as well, but UA was the centre of all of it. If there was one place he would, thinking about it from X's perspective, he would go for UA. Sow the seeds of distrust.

His gaze darted away from the shut off camera and to the area around him, becoming acutely aware of the people around himself.

He could feel the crowds around him, the arms brushing against his as he walked slowly, the peoples voices overlapping each other, the harsh smells, the hard vibrations through the floor of everyone's footsteps.

He felt overwhelmed.

Xian turned sharply, walking straight towards the staff and student's doors. He kept being bumped into, hushed apologies as they walked off. He was so consumed by the tight space. All he wanted was quiet, some space.

He reached his hand for the door handle, the cold metal grasped in his hand, the door creaking open.

'Xian?'

He stopped still at the familiar voice, the crowd moving behind him, all blended together in a mess of sounds and smells. All he was aware of was the cold door and the girl behind him.

'Xian, it's you isn't it.'

He felt her hand touch his back, pressing her palm gently against his shirt, he hand fitting between his shoulder blades, her fingers grabbing his shirt.

He sighed out and slowly moved his arms up, pulling his hood and mask down, his hot breath escaping from the cloth.

He regretted dying his hair, wearing the same cologne he always did. The same hoodie he had kept for years.

He shouldn't have come.

'Kiki.'

He turned around, the girl stood right in front of him, her eyes steeled as they met his gaze, her hand now on his chest.

'You remembered me,' she mumbled under her breath.

'Of course I did.' He sighed out, bringing a hand up to her face, her skin cold to the touch. He cradled her cheek in his, his thumb gently soothing her. 'It's been a while.'

She smiled softly, resting into his tough hand, her delicate skin. She brought her hand up to his, trailed her fingers over his, pressing them into his hand. 'You look exactly the same.'

Xian chuckled, his head tilted to the side. 'You look so different.'

She shook her head softly, a smile on her face that was anything but happy. 'That's what happens when you get kicked out.'

He thought so.

'It's been so long...' her voice trailed off, her eyes searching him, looking over him, looking for something maybe, or nothing at all.

The more Xian looked at her, the more different she looked to him. She was so much paler than before, and she had lost every single ounce of baby fat that she didn't need to lose.

Her hair was still long. It was her big thing, that she never cut it, and it never broke off. It swayed gently just below her knees, almost touching the floor.

Her eyes were colder, still soft and serene like they were all those years ago but not bubbly and innocent like she was. Anything but.

Xian kept looking at her, examining the way she held herself. It was like the cute girl he had taken out all that time ago was replaced by a clone with the same voice. She was a completely different person.
