Xian took his mask off and put in his contacts, certain now that he was in the clear, sucking in a deep breath of chilly air. 'Holy fuck it's cold.'

Xian walked down the path and through the park, not surprised by the extreme lack of foot traffic in the area, turning down the street to get back to his house. He felt nervous.

Sure he had his contacts in, but he didn't have his hair dyed, or a face mask, so right now he just felt the tiniest bit on edge, paranoia creeping into the back of his mind. Sure he liked to boast that he wasn't scared of anything, including death itself, but he did have paranoias.

Sure, he didn't care if he died, but he still actively tries to make his living time not completely unbearable, and that comes with not being in jail, which is exactly where he would end up if he wasn't careful.

He had made it a long time since he first became a villain, first took the name X. Years since he put on the mask. He was surprised he had made it this long without being thrown away in the pit.

Xian pulled out his phone and headphones, praying that the water hadn't completely fucked them up. Luckily, today his prayers were answered.

He immediately opened up his news app, just waiting to see an artificially made face of him smack bang on the front page, but to his surprise, no.

The first thing he saw was an article on the UA sports festival.

Shit that's today.

He kept scrolling, looking around the internet to find anything, even searching up "X identity" but it all came to blanks, the only thing was the mask.

At this point Xian contemplated changing it up, keeping them on their toes, but that would break his presence as the super mysterious villain that doesn't give a shit about the media... or would it?

Mostly he couldn't be stuffed. He would probably do it if Ekio didn't hide her eyes, but she at least learned one thing from him, and that was to hide their number one defining trait just in case.

Originally Xian did it so he wasn't recognised as his father's child. Sure, Xian took after his mother the most in terms of looks, getting her white hair, but that one gold iris was a dead giveaway of his dad, and Xian learned that the hard way.

So he hid it, and got his sister to do the same.

Nowadays it just felt like Xian was using it to hide his villain identity, and Ekio was using it to not get recognised as Xian's family relative.

Fair enough.

Xian passed by the few cars that were on the road, and walked up to his house, twisting the keys in the doorknob and walking in, the weight of the world dropping off his shoulders.

He took his shoes off promptly and went to the bathroom, stripping off all his very much dirty clothes, taking out his contacts again, and took a quick shower, mostly just so he could feel refreshed and warm up. Yesterday was so warm, and now it felt like winter.

He hoped it was going to get warmer later.

He walked back to his and Toya's room, a towel wrapped around his waist, and quietly opened the door, Toya passed out on the bed. He opened up the closet and put on a pair of box briefs... that's it.

He couldn't be bothered to wear more clothes, this was his house.

He then crawled into bed next to Toya, praying to whatever god would listen to his ass that Toya wouldn't wake up and promptly passed out again, exhausted.

'Oi, dickhead.'

'...'

'Wake up.'
