Chapter 6

The alarm rang as a red light flashed. I sat up. The door was open, blood all over the hallway walls. I looked over the bed and saw that our stuff was gone. I got up and put on ym shoes. The knife under my pillow was still their. I grabbed it and walked out. No one at the ends of the hallways. I don't know how to get out of this place. I went to the left and walked.

"Ross!!!" I yelled "Ross!"

I ran down the hallway and turned counters. I then fell, hearing a clink from my knife. The red light flashing made me dizzy. I got up and tryed to find my knife. I heard a noice coming from the end on the dark hallway. Ross? I heard the groans it made. It sounded like...A zombie! I tryed to find my knife as fast as I could. It got closer by the noice that its shoes made. I felt something hard with my hands and relized that it was a dead body. I tryed not to sream. I felt something on me. It was on me. I trying to fight it while looking for my knife. I heard a gun shot and the zombie went down from the dark hallway.

"Ross!!!" I yelled

"Jess?" Ross called as he ran down the hallway. I then saw a flashlight come from behide. Ross came up with our bag on his shoulder and a cop-cowboy hat.

"Jess!" he said as he hugged me.

Tears came to my eyes as I wrapped my arms around him.

"I tryed to go back for you but-" he said

"I heard" I said cutting him off. "In my dream"

"Lets go!!!" Johnny yelled

Ross let go and grabbed my hand. We ran down the hallway and followed Johnny, who made a counter. Johnny stopped running as we saw a group of zombies coming.

"The other way! Hurry!" he yelled.

We ran the other way as they came after us. After making a lot of turns, we finally lost them.

"This way!" he yelled

He opened a door, showing a bright light. We were out, then he stopped and looked down. We were still in the air. A long way to go

"We can jump" Ross said looking down

"Yeah, if you want to break a leg" Johnny said. I looked around and saw five other people.

"At least thats better then being up here" one of the guys said

"We need to find a way down" I said "And fast"

I looked back and saw that they were catching up to us.

"Yep" said one of the girls

"Thats a bed down their, that will help" Johnny said

The five people went down, one guy broke their leg. Ross put our bag down their and told me to go. Johnny went, then me. I layed their for a moment, looking up at the sky that I thought I will never see again. Then, I felt weight come on me.

"Gez Ross! Warning next time!" I said laughing

"Sorry, I tryed to land next to you but, here is better" he said

We got up and Ross grabbed our bag. We walked to the rest of the group. I looked up and saw zombies fall down. They are so bumb.

"What do we do now?" One guy asked

"We find a place to still for the night" Johnny said looking at him.

"We need hope" One girl said

"Lots of it" the other girl said.

Then, they all looked at me

"Who's this?" One guy asked smiling

"This is Jess. Jess, this is Mark, Mike, Sarah, Winter and Rick" Johnny said

"Hi?" I asked

Mark looked at me and never let his eyes off of me. I felt very creeped out

"Lets go! We need to find more food if we want to live." Johnny said as we started to walk.

"It will be a blessing if it started to rain" Ross said.

It was very hot outside and the heat was worse.

"Yep" I said

Being back in the sun's light wasn't as great, it could be better.

"Here" Ross said taking of his hat and putting it on my head

"Thanks"  I said

"Sorry, Its hot" he said "Like you"

"Oh! Stop" I said l playfuly hitting me.

His hat was filled with sweat and thats not a feeling that I liked.

I remeber everything that happened out here. The lost, the found, the sadness, the happiness. Even through its been a few weeks, it feels weird.

"Hey" I said "Did you get taller?"

"Maybe" he asked looking down at me.

"No, I liked being the tall one" I said

"Sorry babe" he said

I pulled his face down and kissed his cheak.

It was nightime and we were sitting on the ground in a circle around the fire that Mike built.

"So..." Sarah said

We just sat their in silence. I held Ross' hand tighter every time Mark would look at me. He was making me very weird.

"Hey Ross?" I asked wispering as I leaned my head towards his

"Yeah?" He wispered back

"Can we have a moment?" I asked

"Sure" Ross said standing up. "Well be right back

Johnny just looked at us. Ross and I walked up the hill and stood their.

"I was thinking" I said grabbing the top of his polo shirt. "Maybe......."

"What?" he asking getting nevous

"O shut up and listen," I said "Maybe, we can a little time to ourselfs"

"And do what?" Ross asked putting his hands on my hips

"Whatever we want to" I said "Its the end of the world, we can do what the heck we want"

"So?" he asked

"I love you" I said putting my arms around his neck

"I love you more" he said before he put his lips on mine.

We made out for a few minutes. He pulled away and started to kiss my neck. I looked at the sky and counted the stars. He pulled away and looked at me. He wanted more. I felt the warm hands go up my shirt. I wanted him more then anything. But, it wasn't time.

"Ross!?" Johnny yelled

"What?" he asked

"You guys alright?" Johnny asked

"Yeah" Ross asked.

I felt his hands go out of my shirt and he sighed

"One day," Ross said "we will have everything that we wanted"

"I know" I said

"Not yet" he said
