The smooth rubber on the tires bumped across the cold cobblestone, I looked out of each window like a kid that has just arrived at Disneyland.  The trees were green the sky was clear, it was better than I had imagined. The perfectly cut grass is swarmed with people left and right.

Gilbert parked up beside one of the bus'. I got out, opening the trunk. I heaved my suitcase out and pulled up the handle. I felt arms wrap around my stomach.

"HEYYYY BESTAYYYYY!" Heidi said resting her head on my shoulder.

"Hi," I said turning around to see her crying. "What's wrong?" I asked wiping her tears away.

"He broke up with me...again!" she said shying away from eye contact.

"I will kill him. Please tell me you are done with him now"

She nods not really taking in what I say. just worried someone sees her.

"look!" I say hoping to take her mind off of that scumbag. "how did the tryouts go?"

"Good!" she exclaims as she starts to ramble on about some position or cool new move I don't know about.

We carry on squeezing past families saying bye to their children and head to the front office for check-in. I really hope I don't have noisy neighbors.
