Reader's POV:

Moonlight shone through the window casting a subtle glow over the room, slowly rousing you from your slumber. You weren't sure what time it was but it was still dark outside. Blinking a few times, you stretched your arm out in search of the older woman, but instead you were met with a cold emptiness.

Pushing yourself up into a sitting position, the sheet slipped down exposing your naked skin to the cold air that drafted into the room. Suddenly aware that the balcony door was open, Billie stood on the other side, your body relaxed, a gentle smile tugging at your lips.

Throwing back the covers, you stepped out of bed, padding quietly across the room, suppressing a smirk as you took notice of the clothes that lay discarded all over the floor. Memories flooding your mind at how Billie had tore your dress from your body the minute you crossed the threshold after returning from the restaurant.

Once you reached the balcony, you crept out, the breeze instantly hitting you causing a shiver to ripple through your body. You slipped your arms around Billie's waist careful not to scare her, but she still jumped slightly, brushing it off with a quiet chuckle as she relaxed into your touch.

A content hum pushed past your lips as you rested your head against her back, nuzzling the soft silk of the robe that clung to her shoulders. "What are you doing awake?" You stifled a yawn, clinging to her and soaking up some of the warmth that radiated off her body.

"Couldn't sleep." She sighed, her fingers absentmindedly drawing light circles on your arms.

There was something wistful about her tone, almost like her mind was somewhere else. "What are you thinking about?" You asked, hoping she would give you an insight into what was going on in that beautiful head of hers.

"You." She whispered, summoning a smile to your lips. "I'm always thinking about you." You weren't sure if the last part was meant for your ears because she had said it so quietly that you almost missed it, but you felt yourself hugging her that little bit tighter.

Your eyes fluttered closed, basking in the comfortable silence that followed. You wished you could stay like this forever, together in your tiny bubble, just the two of you away from the rest of the world. Abandoning all responsibilities, and starting a new chapter together. In an ideal world Billie wouldn't be married and the two of you would be free to openly be with one another. Maybe one day your little fantasy would become a reality.

The blonde shifted slightly, pulling you from your momentary daze as she turned around in your arms. You blinked up at her, a lazy grin on your face. An endearing smile graced her features as she took in your sleepy state, pushing a strand of hair behind your ear. She pulled you close to her, wrapping her arms around your shoulders and burying her face in your hair, inhaling deeply before placing a gentle kiss to the top of your head.

Resting your head against her chest, the gentle rhythm of her heart almost coaxing you to sleep, you failed to hide the yawn that fell from your mouth. "Come back to bed." You mumbled sleepily, pulling away slightly and tugging on her arm. A quiet giggle fell from her lips as she allowed you to lead her back to bed.

You climbed into bed, watching as Billie slipped out of her robe before pulling her towards you. Your head rested on her chest, legs tangled together as you absentmindedly drew patterns on her stomach, feeling her muscles flutter beneath your fingertips at your gentle touch. She lightly combed her fingers through your hair, instantly drawing you into a state of relaxation. It only took a couple seconds for you to drift off back to sleep.

Billie's POV:

My eyes flickered open, invaded by the harsh light of the morning sun. It took me a moment to take in my surroundings, briefly forgetting where I was until a presence stirred beside me, coaxing a soft smile onto my face. I turned to face her, admiring her soft features whilst she was unaware. She looked so peaceful and calm, with a faint smile dancing across her face. I tentatively reached out, placing my hand flat against her chest, feeling the gentle beat of her heart thrum beneath the palm of my hand.

My fingers then ran up the length of her neck, lips curling into a smirk at the light purple bruise that had formed just over her pulse point. I ghosted my fingers over the mark before lightly dragging my fingernails across the side of her jaw.

I gently pushed a lock of hair away from her face careful not to wake her. My hand lingered on the side of her face before delicately gliding down her cheek. There was a stray eyelash underneath her eye and I brushed it away before trailing my index finger lightly down the bridge of her nose. I could feel the warmth of her breath against my hand as I began to trace the shape of her lips. Even when she was asleep she was the most exquisite piece of art I had ever seen. What I would give to wake up to her every morning.

She shifted slightly and I slowly retracted my hand, nibbling on the skin of my lower lip as I watched her eyes flutter open, slowly rousing from her unconscious state, fixing me with big doe eyes, a small smirk tugging at her lips. "Have you just been staring at me?" She asked, voice slightly husky with sleep, which was oddly arousing.

My hand found the dip in her waist and I pulled her closer, welcoming the warmth of her body pressed against mine. My lips brushed against her forehead. "Admiring," I corrected her. "There's a difference."

Lifting her head to look at me she quirked an eyebrow before pressing her lips against mine. "Creep." She whispered, the smirk on her face growing.

I rolled my eyes playfully, lightly swatting her behind which elicited a small chuckle to spill from her lips. I was quiet for a moment as I just observed her, held captive by her piercing eyes that innocently gazed up at me. Her mouth moved, forming words but I was caught up in my own thoughts that I didn't hear what was said.

I really think.. and I hate to admit it but.. I think I'm starting to fall in love with her.

Hi guys, hope you enjoyed this chapter and as always let me know what you thought! I'm trying (and failing) to be more consistent with my chapters, but I hate everything I'm writing at the moment so sorry if my chapters are a little mediocre, it's the best I can do right now. Thank you for sticking with me, I appreciate you all.
