Reader's POV:

That night, as you sat at the dinner table with your parents, their prying eyes making you feel exposed, you couldn't think about anything else other than what happened earlier. Flashbacks overcrowded your brain, causing a slight problem between your legs. You hadn't touched your food, you couldn't stomach it, which is probably why your parents were watching you carefully. They knew something was bothering you.

"How was school?" Your dad asked as he shovelled a fork full of potatoes into his mouth.

You shrugged your shoulders, pushing the food around on your plate. "Fine." You mumbled, not bothering to lift your gaze to meet your dads' eyes.

Even though you weren't looking at them, you could feel your parents share a questioning glance across the table, momentarily abandoning their food.

"Are you feeling ok?" It was your mums turn to ask a question and you just nodded your head, more thoughts of your English teacher distracting you. "Because you've hardly touched your food." She carried on, her voice soft yet curious. You didn't answer, just continued to play with your food.

"Has something happened?" Your dad asked, the protective parent showing a little. You silently shook your head, you couldn't stand these questions anymore, and you stood from your seat, discarding your food in the trash and your plate next to the sink.

"I have homework." You mumbled, slipping out of the kitchen. Like your parents would believe you were actually doing homework. But they didn't bother to stop you, watching your retreating form as you headed upstairs.

You silently brushed your teeth, pulled on your pyjamas and climbed into bed, ignoring the fact it was only 7:00pm. You highly doubted you were going to sleep tonight anyway with the thoughts that ran through your mind.

What the fuck happened? You had asked yourself that burning question ever since you left school.

Did I really fuck my English teacher or was that just my imagination? No, my imagination isn't that good.

I'm not even gay... maybe I am, I've never really questioned my sexually until now.

But my teacher? I fucked my FEMALE teacher. She's the same age as my mum. If people found out, she could get fired. My parents would literally kill me. Not to mention everyone at school, what would they say? Stella? The cheerleading squad? Payton?

Payton... I have a boyfriend. I just cheated on him. I'm a cheat. Well, it's not like it's a serious relationship, maybe to him, but that's besides the point. I cheated on him.

Suddenly, your phone buzzed from beside you and you glanced at the screen. Speak of the devil... or rather, think of the devil. A message from Payton flashed across the screen.

"Wanna come over?" You rolled your eyes, knowing the hidden agenda behind his message.

"Having an early night." You quickly texted back. Ridden with guilt. How am I going to face him tomorrow?

How am I going to face HER?

Why do I hate her a little less now? She's still a complete bitch, but when I think of her and what we did, I get this hungry feeling inside me. Like, I want to do it again. But we can't. How did it even happen in the first place? How did a detention turn into fucking my English teacher? We were arguing, she slapped me, I tried to slap her back and then BAM, we're fucking on the classroom floor.

I'd never felt as good as I did in that moment. No one had ever made me feel like that. Not even Payton.

That was the last thought that crossed your mind before you somehow managed to doze off.

You spent the entire day looking over your shoulder, trying your best to avoid Mrs Howard. Luckily, you hadn't ran into her just yet. Part of you wanted to see her, but then you also wished she was off sick or something.

It was a little harder to avoid Payton when he was waiting for you outside school the minute you arrived, following you around like a lost puppy. He knew you were acting different, having asked the same question a dozen times. "What's wrong?"

"Just tired." You mumbled, wishing to God he would shut the fuck up, but then immediately feeling guilty for thinking that. "I'm fine." You made a pathetic attempt at a reassuring smile, which he seemed to buy, for now.

"You're quiet today." Stella observed during lunch. "Is everything ok?"

You suddenly snapped out of your thoughts, slowly nodding your head as you mustered a small smile. "Yeah, I'm good... just-" You trailed off as you spotted a certain someone across the cafeteria. The same someone who had your undivided attention for the past couple days. Mrs Howard. You watched her closely, as she drank from a bottle of water. Even that action had you feeling some type of way. She hadn't noticed you yet, which was good because you weren't so sure you'd be able to tear your gaze away from the older woman.

Stella followed your line of sight before she spoke. "Don't let her get to you." You instantly broke out of your reverie, shaking the inappropriate thoughts away. You didn't realise you'd been biting your lip until you felt a warm substance on your bottom lip. Blood. You quickly wiped it away before your friend noticed.

"Don't worry, I'm not." You mumbled, your eyes drawing back to the older woman, who was now looking your way, making your insides contract at the way she was looking at you. She held your gaze for at least a minute, her face impassive, before she stood, making her way across the cafeteria towards your table. You averted your gaze, panicking slightly, heart racing.

The blonde drew nearer and nearer, you could hear the sound of her heels, drowning out obnoxious chatter from the rest of the students. Payton was saying something beside you, but you weren't paying attention, and then you dared to lift your gaze. Mrs Howard was a foot from your table, her gaze wasn't on you anymore but fixed straight ahead, almost like she was trying to ignore you.

Then just like that she walked straight past you, not a single word or even a glance.

You frowned slightly as your heart rate finally returned to normal, and you turned watching her leave the cafeteria.

Okay, I know this chapter isn't anything special and it's a little short, but these kind of chapters are important for the story. I'll try not to keep you waiting too long for the next chapter.
