Billie's POV:
After the close call with her husband, Billie decided as much as she wanted to find a way out of her marriage, using her student to do that just wasn't fair. From now on she had to be careful. But how many times would that thought have to occur for her to finally realise that sooner or later it's all going to come out. Two times they had almost been caught. The next time, they might not be so lucky.
If it did come out, she'd lose everything. She would lose her husband, which of course didn't bother her, that's what she wanted, she wanted out of this loveless marriage. But she'd been with him for so long, she couldn't imagine living without him. She would also lose her home, her job.. and more importantly y/n. One way or another y/n would slip through her fingers. She'd never cared about anyone as much as she did her student, and she felt guilty for allowing her to get caught up in all of this.
Yes, it had started out as just a bit of fun. Billie never intended for it to go this far. She never intended for anything to happen in the first place. By no means were they in a relationship, so what were they? Her feelings toward her student had slowly started to develop over the course of their.. affair or whatever you would call it. The thought of losing her, it pained Billie to think about. But there couldn't possibly be a future for them.. could there? Billie was a middle aged woman, she'd already lived her life, half of it married to an abusive asshole, but that's beside the point. She didn't want to hold y/n back, she wanted her to live her life; not make the same mistakes she had.
A concoction of thoughts running havoc in her mind as she silently drove to work the following week. Her phone buzzed beside her, and she glanced over to see a message from y/n light up her screen. Billie's lips instantly quirked up into a smile at the thought of her young lover. She'd come to the conclusion that she didn't want it to end, the thing between her and y/n, at least not until it absolutely had to. So, the previous weekend, Billie had found herself purchasing another phone specifically for contacting y/n, identical to the one she had so if her husband were to find it, he wouldn't be suspicious. Of course she wouldn't let that happen. She had to be smart about this, smarter than she had been.

Reader's POV:
"Good morning! I hope you had a good weekend, I missed you! x" Shaky fingers glided over your phone screen, typing out a quick text to Billie as you stood outside school waiting for Stella to arrive. Apparently she had gotten a new phone so you made sure to text her new number. A harsh breeze whirled around you and you mentally chastised yourself for wearing a skirt and forgetting to bring a coat.
You quickly shot out another text to your friend asking where she was just as you saw her walking through the carpark, heading towards you.
"Took you long enough, I've been stood here for like 15 minutes, slowly developing hypothermia." You joked, although you could barely feel your legs. Stella rolled her eyes, offering one of her sincerest apologies, and you both giggled.
Just as you were about to head inside, in the distance you saw a familiar white Mercedes turning into the car park. A wide smile tugged at your lips when you realised it was Billie and her eyes caught yours. You lifted your hand to wave, and she did the same.
"Are we going in or what?" Stella interrupted, wrapping her arms around herself as she shuffled from foot to foot.
"In a minute." You mumbled distractedly, the cold suddenly forgotten about. Eyes locked on Billie as she stepped out of her vehicle. Your mouth hung open slightly when you saw she was wearing a burgundy coloured suit, with a white button up underneath. Honey blonde curls falling so elegantly over her shoulders. Mouth suddenly dry, you swallowed, tongue briefly flicking over your lips. She looked absolutely jaw dropping. She always did. But Billie Dean Howard in a suit was the serotonin you didn't know you needed. Your breath was stolen away that's for sure. You noticed a group of guys also checking her out, and one of them wolf whistled; of course she just ignored them. Anger coursed through your body as you glared at them. Back off, she's mine, you silently thought to yourself.
Luckily, you managed to compose yourself in time before Stella noticed you hungrily checking out your English teacher. She looked up from her phone, following your line of sight that led her straight to the blonde as she collected her bag and some books from the trunk of her car.
You reluctantly tore your gaze away from the older woman, focusing your attention on your phone ready to sneakily send her a text, when Stella spoke up. "Oh look, it's your girlfriend." She teased. It was obviously a joke to her. If only she knew the truth. You suppressed a smirk, as you lifted your gaze, feigning annoyance as you glared at your friend, who still had her eyes on Billie, frowning slightly.
"She has the same car as your aunt." Stella stated casually. You furrowed your brows, shooting her a confused look.
"The other day when your aunt picked you up.. that's the car I saw you getting into."
Your eyes widened slightly at the sudden realisation, hoping your friend wouldn't choose now to be good at math and put 2 and 2 together. Brain fumbling for something to say. "Oh yeah!" You acted surprised. "I never noticed." Stella had averted her gaze down to her phone, suddenly losing interest. "Come on, I'm freezing, let's head inside." You steered her towards the entrance of the school, glancing over your shoulder, eyes desperately searching for Billie.
She was only a few feet behind you and you gave her a knowing smirk. The blonde nibbled on her lower lip as she pulled out her phone. Eyes drifting away from you and down to the screen as she typed out something. Admiring her skilled fingers, the same fingers that had been inside you on numerous occasions. Your phone suddenly pinged with a new message, abruptly snapping you out of your daze.
"My weekend was.. boring. How was yours? I missed you a lot! See you at the end of the day? x"
A small smile graced your features as you watched Billie head off in the opposite direction, eyes lingering a second too long. She was swaying her hips a little too suggestively, heels echoing down the hall. Damn, she's killing me.
"My weekend was also boring, and of course can't wait! ;) x" You typed back.
You probably wouldn't see the older woman until the end of the day now, seen as you didn't have her class today. 7 whole hours without seeing her was like torture, especially after spending the weekend away from her too. You had really become quite attached to the blonde. Silently questioning if it was just you, or did she feel the same?
