POV: Billie Dean Howard is your new English teacher. From the moment you step foot into her classroom, you instantly but heads but all that will change when you start to get closer to her. Enemies to lovers? Maybe..
—
Reader's POV:The most popular girl in school, the captain of the cheerleading squad, friends with everyone. Although you were known for being a bit of a bitch, but you did have a reputation to uphold. Dating the most popular guy, the captain of the football team.
Everyone adored you. The girls wanted to be you, and the guys? Well, they wanted to date you. Even some of the teachers envied you. Of course, they wouldn't admit it, but they were constantly getting at you, picking on you for being late, not doing your homework, your skirt was too short, blah, blah, blah, so that pretty much proved your point.
But you were the star of your own movie. So how did it feel when a new certain someone challenged you, pushed your buttons and put you in your place? Something that nobody else would dare to do. It drove you fucking crazy.
Mrs Howard, your new English teacher, she didn't care about the status you held in the school. She wasn't fazed by your popularity, or your reputation. Why? You wondered. From the moment you met, she just didn't seem to like you, and you weren't her biggest fan either. But you felt yourself drawn to her, was it because of the way she treated you? Or because of the way she intimidated you, when you were usually the one intimidating other people.
This was going to be a very interesting school year.
♡ ♡ ♡
Late on your first day back at school? Yep, that sounds like you. Of course, if your mom hadn't made you walk then you wouldn't have been late. Although, on the plus side you were able to make a quick stop at Starbucks, which was probably what made you late.
The corridors were empty and eerily silent, as you hurried to your first class, the only sound being the tapping of your shoes echoing down the hall.
Apparently, you had a new English teacher, who, according to your best friend, Stella's earlier text, was "Hotter than the fucking sun." She definitely had a way with words, and she wasn't wrong, maybe over exaggerating a little, but definitely not wrong. Being late wasn't going to give off a great first impression.
The new teacher was very beautiful, and if you were into girls, you would definitely be fawning over her. She didn't look like your typical English teacher. She was dressed in a coral-coloured silk shirt, tucked into a black pencil skirt with black heels to match. Her hair was a sandy blonde kind of colour and hung loosely around her shoulders. She also had a bit of an intimidating look about her, almost like an older version of yourself.
Mrs Howard was written in bold on the board behind her. Mrs? So, she's married then. She didn't look like the marriage type, and then you noticed the huge rock on her finger. She was probably married to some rich older guy. A sugar daddy, maybe.
Mrs Howard caught your eye through the window, conveniently ruining your plan to sneak in unnoticed. Everyone's eyes were on you as you pulled open the door. You felt yourself grow hot under Mrs Howard's gaze, which was odd because you weren't the type to feel flustered or nervous, but you could hear the pounding of your heart in your ears as she watched you expectantly, probably waiting for an apology.
"Y/n, I presume?" The older woman raised an eyebrow in your direction, and you nodded meekly. Your legs a little shaky as you walked further into the classroom.
"You're late." She folded her arms across her chest, turning her body to face you. "If you can't be bothered turning up on time, then don't turn up at all."
