"We are all born as we are meant to," Gaster told them.
"I don't like it," Chara said scowling, there bright red eyes looking up at Gaster unhappily "Humans are selfish and greedy, and want to destroy everything different then themselves."
"You have been below with us for a year child, and do you know what I see?" Gaster asked them, after teaching Chara the local language he'd also become theirs and Asriel's tutor as they found learning under him easier.
"That I'm nothing," Chara said unhappily.
"No... I see a child pushed and pushed till they gave up, we are our choices child. And you chose to leave, to preserve your core and discover who you truly are. That is not greedy or selfish, that is surviving," he told them.
"But I'm human, only the royal family and you can look at me without wanting to kill me," Chara whimpered, fat tears going down there face.
"I will admit I have no love for humans Chara, but I do not place the hatred of the parents on the child. You are not the humans that sealed us, and one day they will let go of that hate also," Gaster told them, Chara gave a sob and leapt forward and hugged the skeleton monster.
"Thank you... I don't know what I'd do without you all," Chara said a wobbly smile on there face.
"Lets not find out," Gaster said ruffling there messy hair.
