Lena POV

It's finally the month of August. Jen, Aurbie, and I are waiting inside the airplane hanger for (Y/N)'s arrival back from France. With the gates wide open, I see the sky is filled with dark fluffy looking clouds. It's funny how the weather can change so suddenly within a few days. I guess that's how California's weather functions.

The wait felt long and I was growing nervous. I have a mix of emotions from excitement to anxiousness. I'm excited to see my beloved again since it's been a while since I have felt her touch but I was also scared on how I should approach the older CEO with the secret I've been keeping from her.

Robert gets off on the phone with someone from the control tower and leads himself to us.

"They said that (Y/N)'s jet is running late. The incoming storm is giving the pilots a difficult time flying through but they hope that they'll be fine as long as there's no lighting." Robert passes over the information.

"Some weird weather we're having. How much longer?" Jen says.

"Probably 30 minutes. More or less."

"I hope they're okay." I said out loud.

"I'm sure they are. (Y/N)'s jet is designed to overcome weather like these. They'll be here before you know it." Aubrie manages to comfort me.

The sky starts to pour. Crying it's tears down to the ground. Thunder and lighting strike which frighten my thoughts. Robert and Jen look out to the sky to find the delayed jet. Aubrie stood quietly next to me. I have a feeling she's going to say something since Robert and Jen were a little far from us.

"How are you doing, Lena?" The woman politely asked.

"Between you and me. . . I wish I knew. I'm excited to see (Y/N) again yet I feel so terrified."

"Terrified? Lena. You should not be afraid of her. She'll understand. She has never abused any woman and won't start now just because you weren't ready to tell her."

"It's not the thought of her hurting me. . . It's more the thought of her leaving me. What if she doesn't believe me? From these months apart, what if she thinks I have cheated on her? It makes me look more guilty that I didn't tell her right away about the miscarriage. Does she even want children? We haven't discussed that. Our relationship is still new and-"

"Lena. Lena. Breathe." Aubrie stops my rambling before either Robert or Jen finds out what we're talking about. "(Y/N) for sure loves you. I know you two haven't been together for a year yet but anyone in her friend group can tell that she genuinely loves you. She looks at you like you're her moon to the night sky. You're the best woman for her. Way more better than Allison if we're ever comparing."

I tried to not show much emotion in Aubrie's reassurances. We didn't want Robert and Jen finding out. Not now at least.

"Hey look!" Jen says loudly.

Aubrie and I look up at the cloudy sky and see a jet descending to the runway. A lighting strikes the plane which I thought would bring down the jet but nothing happened. I was amazed how it kept on going without any damage.

"I told you they'll be fine." Aubrie winks at me.

The ground crew guides the pilots to park the jet into the hangar. It felt like forever and I was starting to feel desperate to see my (Y/N). When the door pops open, (Y/N) is already up there waiting. With a wide smile on her face, she runs down the stairs and rushes her way to me. She lifts me up in the air (being mindful of her strength) and spins me around in joy. I laughed at her little act and I placed my hands on her face to see those beautiful features in this person again. I pull her in hard and kiss her.
