He climbed up towers with a swelling in his heart. Blurred figures attempted to manifest their anger on him, but he continued. The clockwork in his head had broken and replaced with winded perplexion. The anxiety overwhelmed him; constantly confused, but he continued.

He was called my her, even though — to his vision — she helpless lay, embraced with chains, imprisoned. Imagining her lifeless body only quickened his pace and drowsiness even though his mind told him to reverse.

Blood thickened on his forehead as it clumped with sweat and trickled down to his sideburns. Arriving in the tower alone took more effort than perceived since not only highly advanced Aurors stood outside, but dementors also filled the prism, embracing fear. He had lost his wand in this violent process, but anything, anything for her.

Though many say he and her were unlikely, every time she caught his eye, his adrenaline rushed and his heart pumped faster.

With every might, he willingly dragged his legs up the levels. He could've apparated, but it was magically prohibited once one reached high levels of the prison. Azkaban had many limits.

Every inch he stepped, more desperation filled him. He could hear her calling his name, yelling "Tom!", which caused a mighty wrenched pain in his heart.

But finally, finally, he reached the destination of the voice. A large room by the edges of Azkaban, he saw her. She was kneeled down, and as soon as she took sight of him, she pleaded helplessly for the help of escape. She cried, and he froze. She sobbed, and he froze. She bellowed, and he froze.

There, words overwhelmed him. Her talking caused him to be in shock. She spoke out of a baby; a female to be exact — their baby.

He didn't want this, yet he felt responsible. He felt anger rush over him. He looked down at her chains and saw them tightened around her violet hands. Disgustingly violet. Her curly ebony locks dreaded down with perspiration. Her face dimmed down with weakness. Her garments, torn and tattered, ran down her body.

That was when he caught her face again. Realising that he hadn't answered, he cupped his hands around her face. He examined the stains and scars that stretched across his face. He placed his forehead against hers. And for a moment — just a moment — he felt her warmth and her love. He felt free. And for that moment they felt no blood, no sweat, no tears, only a small spark. With that, he spoke.

"I love you, you know that?" The two chuckled and just as she reached in for his lips, a dead silence saturated the room.

That silence wreaked. That silence filled. That silence shrieked.

That was when a roar emerged. Faint, it was, yet terrifying. The door to the room blinked open and the two heard loud yells. Yells of wizards, and dementors. However, he didn't move, nor did he freeze. She crawled back with a sly grin sweep across her face but only he could recognise the fear in his eyes. He didn't even take a glance behind, he only snickered and prepared for it. 'It' as in what he knew was coming. Oh, he knew.

Then she shrieked and the once hushed room swelled with a bellowed fear. As he gradually turned around, he eyed a large figure that now overshadowed him — a dementor. Rising, he backed away, standing next to her and malice laughing.

That's when it happened.

The dementor reached over him. The dementor eyed her. And it mercilessly sucked him away.

She let out a screech and collapsed against the wall, onto the ground with pain.

Soon, wizards barged in through the doors and caught sight of the dementor. They instantly grabbed their wands and in unison, they cast a timid Patronus. But it failed.

She hugged her knees with weeps and they continued to cast their spells, but all too afraid, they soon were sucked away.

Despite all her animosity towards others, out of pure luck, the dementor passed her and levitated out of the room, through the walls, and out of the building.

She cried. No, wept. No, mourned. What?

She faced the lifeless bodies that surrounded her and caught the eye of his one.

"I love you too." She whispered.
