SWISH. The humid wind swayed into the room as Marium sat up, rubbing her droopy eyes. The luminous pearly glow shimmered relentlessly through the blinds as Marium tried to resent it. Once she fully opened her eyes, she spotted a small figure standing at the foot of her bed. Dobby. Marium faintly smirked at the sight of the humble house elf and tiredly stretched out of the gloomy canopy bed.

"G-Good morning Miss M-Malfoy." Dobby stutter.

"Hey, Dobs," Marium answered. She felt like she slept well and that it had been excessively longer than foreseen. "What's the time?" Marium adjusted the blinds to the amount of sunlight to her liking.

"Uh, um, a-about 5:30 am Miss M-Malfoy," Dobby replied. Marium noticed that his hands were placed behind his back. Was I too harsh?

That's when the realisation hit.

"5:30?" She questioned. 5:30 am? Why must I be awake at 5:30 am?

"Well, for Hogwarts, of course!" Dobby smiled.

"Hogwarts? Hogwarts?! Hogwarts!" Marium exclaimed, faking her happiness. She instantly jumped out of bed and plastered a wide smile on her face as Dobby feebly followed her out of the room.

Normally, students would be excited about attending Hogwarts. But Marium wasn't. Unlike others, she always cared and feared others thoughts on her. She was always insecure about herself. But, she was enthusiastic about all the subjects to learn at school. Mainly DADA, she found it rather amusing to see people learn how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts when her family was the dark arts.

She also looked forward to learning how to fly on a broom. Though she wasn't interested at first, Marium was rather influenced by her brother after he continued to blabber about quidditch. The game system seemed pretty easy even though Draco described it as "One of the most difficult sports in the entire Wizarding, creatures and Muggle world."

The Malfoys hadn't packed the night before, so they got to work.

"Here we are. I wish you all of the best of luck, and I will see you during Yule. Be good." Father assured. He lightly hugged Draco then he went to Mother. Father came to Marium and awkwardly embraced her. The tension was still alive and the two didn't know what to say.

"Uh... Just know that I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you." Father ineptly asserted. Marium cordially beamed and hugged Lucius.

"I know Father." Lucius slowly grinned and waved bye as Marium ran after her brother into the express.

Soon, the large clock struck 11 and the express scrambled off.

Lucius grabbed a pipe from his pocket and blew into it. Blue wisp shot out faster than the wind.

"Would you stop that?" Narcissa frustratedly said as she smacked the pipe out of her husband's hand.

Marium lazily stared out the smudged and fogged window. Truth was, she never found the view as 'beautiful' but merely a distraction and disruption.

Suddenly there was a loud banging on her door.

I swear to god-

She turned around and met her brother.

What the hell?

Marium jumped up and pulled open the carriage door for Draco to enter. He immediately plopped himself onto the couch causing Marium to roll her eyes in repulse.

"Why are you here? I thought you were with Crabbe and Goyle. And Blaise." Marium asked as she sat down and pulled a dusty school book from her bland book bag. She opened it and awaited Draco's answer.

"Well, Crabbe and Goyle are so broad and light-headed. Blaise seriously doesn't care, he's hanging with Daphne. And Pansy is there... she keeps chasing me everywhere." He gagged.

"Huh? Who's Pansy?" Marium obliviously asked.

"Uh, short hair... Black hair... Oh and really annoying." Oh.

"Ew... her... She's cool and all but she's a little bit too extra,"

"You're extra."

"Pft! Have you seen yourself? With all the freakin' gelled hair!"

The twins chuckled until silence fell.

"Hey, you know you'll be my sister no matter right?" Draco smiled and placed his hand on Marium's calf which was sitting on the seat beside him.

"Yeah. I know." Marium grinned.

"New year, new life
