MARIUM HURRIED DOWN THE FRONT STEPS AND OUT INTO THE YARD. She stared down at the shifting grass that tickled beneath their feet. The zephyr blew against the trees near the forbidden forest that gently swayed in unison. It even blew their cloaks and hair just the right amount to make Marium feel like the main character.

Excitement struck Marium when she was faced with multiple brooms in an aesthetic order. They were placed on the ground and beside them was who Marium recognised as Madam Hooch. However, she was completed with a stern expression that brought the atmosphere down.

Marium could handle strict professors. After all, her parents were ten times stricter than imaginable.

Draco nudged Marium — who was now by the brooms — and whispered, "Hey! I'm going to be so good at this class just watch me." He playfully raised his eyebrows as Marium cringed with a repulse. She then remembered the fact that both she and Draco had never flown a broom before and with Draco's cockiness and his low experience, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself about a possible outcome. This is going to be so funny.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Madam Hooch snapped causing many to startle. "Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up."

Marium stood by a broomstick between Draco and Theo. She then realised that the two houses were divided — Gryffindors on the right and Slytherins on the left.

"Stick out your right hand over the broom," Hooch continued, "and say, 'Up!'"

Marium was startled when everyone instantly yelled 'UP!' more violent than a lion. She stared wide-eyed at everyone that was badly attempting. Ok, here we go.

"Up!" Marium's broom immediately shot into her hand. Huh, that was easy. Once she glanced out at everyone, she felt confident. She was the first to reach it. She placed her hand on her hip and chuckled at everyone's second-hand worth embarrassing attempts. That was when she saw Harry Potter's broom shoot up into his readied hand. Shit. She death-stared him but what was even more embarrassing was that he wasn't looking back. He was looking at the blonde boy next to Marium — Draco.

Weird.

That's when Marium noticed that her brother was also struggling. So much for what you said earlier.

Neville's broom hadn't moved at all. What a loser. Hermione's broom rolled once or twice on the ground. But seeing the pathetic Weasley's broom shoot up annoyed her.

Madam Hooch showed everyone how to mount and kick-off which everyone amazingly said "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs".

"Now, when I blow my whistle, you kick-off. Hard." Madam Hooch strictly said, pointing her finger at especially Neville who everyone just knew was going to fail. "Three, two—" However, Neville had awkwardly pushed off from the ground on his broom, parallel to a cork in a wine bottle. Everyone couldn't help but let out small snickers, even Marium. Suddenly, he was up in the air. He's gonna fall. And he fell.
