Chaeyoung and I quietly walked on the sidewalks while holding an umbrella, we had separated since she prepared two.

The road was empty, the clouds were pouring lightly than it was earlier, yet my head was stuck between the clouds.

I was biting my nails, anxious about what happened to Jimin earlier. His bleeding figure flashed inside my head, making a shiver in fright.

Felt a hand on my shoulder, my gaze followed the hand to its arm until I saw Rosie wearing a concerned expression.

"Are you okay, Jennie?" she asked worriedly, her lips curved in a small frown. I shook my head, not wanting her to worry at all.

I laughed it out, patting her shoulder. "Of course, why would Jennie Kim herself not be fine?" I joked, as she smiled at me and shook her head.

She's quick to know.

I retracted my hand from her shoulder, immediately looks away from her direction with my lips pursed.

In a panic, I just started laughing to avoid any confrontations.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA isn't the weather lovely today, Rosie?" I questioned, leaning forward to ask her with my innocent eyes.

She blushed, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear with a shy smile on her lips, nodding her head.

"A-Ah yes, the rain does wonders for the plants. It's one of mother nature's gifts to life," she replied, smiling at me with such innocence, unlike my faked one.

I gave her a grin, pulling her hand, and held it tight. "Let's feel the rain together!" she let out a small laugh nodding her head, I was excited all of the sudden.

I placed our intersected hands outside of the umbrella, feeling the cold rain hit our skin. It was so cold to the point we both retracted, halting our walk on the sideways.

We both looked at each other, then laughed at the turn of events. "Oh my gosh, I thought we were gonna have a kdrama scene, but—" Chaeyoung wheezed, as I chuckled beside her.

"I know right? I mean, we didn't even expect that it would be that cold," I shivered playfully as she laughed harder, clutching her stomach.

"H-HAHAHA-HAHA GOSH LET ME BREATHE," she breathed out, trying to catch her breath. I chuckled, waiting for her to finish.

She wiped the tears from her eyes, she smiled brightly. "I think we'll have a fun time. I'm glad that I chose you as my partner," she giddily grinned, tilting her head a bit on the side.

I paused, stared at her with lips apart. Bewildered for a quick minute before she pulled my wrist, laughing as she dragged me down the road.

" We're almost there, Jennie."

I shrugged, following her lead as the skies started to clear. The moisty damn grass's scent hit my nostrils.

Our feet splashing through the wet sidewalk, my body slowly calming down. I looked back at Chaeyoung who was in front of me, leading the way.

Her aura screamed calmness, and maturity like a literal angel that landed on Earth to bless humans.

She stopped in front of a wrecked-looking house, vines growing as the little rocky pathway was landscaped with flowers.
