I barged outside the music, pulled out the posters, and started the hunt for a temporary as I should do as their temporary manager.

I bit my lower lip and sighed, adjusting the strap of my string bag. I shook my disheveled hair away from my face and took a step forward with a big smile, determined to end the deal fast.

I don't want to hang around that jerk called Taehyung, he could be a little nicer.

My lips let out a tsk, irritated at his behavior.

Wait...

I stopped by my tracks. Ah no no no, I can't get angry over a petty guy. Be the bigger person Jennie, you're better at handling your emotions.

I slapped my cheeks and let out a huff, puffing my chest out as I started walking around the hallways, reading to give out the forms.

To my luck, they all ran away. What did I do now?

I sighed, deciding to do it the hard way, chasing some students and making them read the poster before letting them assume that I'll make them join a witch's club.

I can start one but I'm too lazy. I don't like moving at all. Wait, then why do every day if I'm too lazy to walk?

Why do people still talk when they say that they don't like talking? Why did I wake up when I asked for 5 more minutes?

Ugh, the world works too complicated. Everything works for the opposite. Strange humans, what do you want?

What do I really want? I paused.

Wait, ah fck. I shook my head, hitting my head as I forgot to do the thing that I was supposed to do. I got side-tracked and I'm alone on the empty hallways.

I scratched my head and started to walk aimlessly around the school.

Checking my watch, I still have a few minutes to spare before the next class starts and I'm pretty sure my classmates had no talent for music.

I shuddered thinking back during music class as my ears bled at the sound of screeching guitar strings.

It was that bad.

I wasn't even able to play anything, I could pretend to play and still got a score.

It's called technique, baby.

Snickering at my genius plan, I unconsciously arrived at the schoolyard. Students scattered around with their friends under the perfect day.

The perfect time to stop my not-perfect problem.

I happily skipped towards the people, waving the forms up in the air. "Yo guys! Wanna join the— what the, where are ya'll going?!" I fasten my pace as I tried to catch up to students who were scurrying away.

"Hey wait! Just listen at least, hey!" I slowed down my tracks in front of the water fountain, letting out a sigh. I slumped down, sitting on the edge.

"There's a rainbow when there is rain. There is the sun in the night since the moon reflected the sun's light and it's very pretty too. If the sun gives sunburn, does the moon give us moonburn?" I mumbled under my breath, ruffling my already disheveled hair.

"Argh, this is why I should listen to school. Wait, I am in school and I should learn instead of finding some members for their group. WAHAHAHA, in your face. I'm a responsible kid, I will study!" my voice went louder as I immediately stood up, raised my leg on the ledge as I lift my fisteand in the air with a grin.

"WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA I'M A GENIUS!" I crackled, throwing the forms as I ran around the fountain singing 'I am a genius'.

And after a few minutes of my mini-celebration, I felt a glare from an old friend of mine, the janitor as he stand near the stairs holding a broom with a frown on his lips and immediately picked up the forms.

"Mianhe Mr. Kyong!" I waved sheepishly at the old man.

"You better be Kim! Come here and have some Kimchi, my grandson made some for me and for you too!" the old janitor ushered me near him and opened his lunch box.

I gaped at the sight, giving the old man a side hug. "Awe, you shouldn't have. Tell Hyun Seok-oppa that he's the best!"

"You meant me, not that lazy bum. He only made some since I nagged him all night," the old man bragged, proud of naggi23-year-older old son.

Poor Hyun Seok-oppa, pft.

Getting scolded on his old age, he's 23 for goodness sake. Hshshshs.

"You're the best Mr. Kyong!" I laughed, hugging the old man before pulling away, receiving the pink lunch box.

I've known the son and father when I was a freshman, I liked helping Mr. Kwong around the school in my spare time since I don't have a busy schedule or anything at all. Hyun Seok-oppa often visits his old man whenever he can, and at times, we meet and talk about Power Rangers.

"Now, have this. Return the lunch box when it's nice and clean, okay? Don't leave anything or I'll nag like your Hyun Seok himself..." he squinted his wrinkled eyes at me before patting my head and turning my body around, pushing me forward back to the school's entrance.

"Run along and study like how you squeaked earlier," he waved me off like the tsundere he is.

I turned back, gasping dramatically. "I did not squeak," I defended but he only rolled his eyes and pointed at the entrance.

I gave him a sheepish smile, waving goodbye. Entering the school with a lunch box in my hand, I stumbled upon the person I disliked to see or even breathe the same air with.

"Jennie-ah..." Jisoo whispered, taking a step forward, but I was quick to turn my heel and ignored her existence.

"Yah! Jennie, I have something to tell you!" she let out an exasperated shout, but I didn't care. Class is about to start anyways.

My arm was yanked back, and I faced a panting Jisoo. I gave her a hard glare, yanking my arm from her hold, but failed due to her strong grip.

"What do you want? Can't you see that I'm about to be late for class?" I told her, annoyed. She pursed her lips in a thin line, but her hold is still firm.

"Look, I need you to listen for once—"

"What do you want me to do? Look or listen? I can't understand you at all," I cut her off, obviously not wanting to be near her presence at all.

"Listen, I want you to listen..." she sighed, but I only rolled my eyes at her and pulled my hand off her grip.

"Why would I bother when you didn't listen to me when I asked you to? I clearly told you before to never be near me, talk to me or interact with me at all. Did you listen? No, so don't expect me to do the same."

I intentionally hit her shoulder and stomped away to class. How dare she, I don't want to be involved with her again.

I despise her guts.

"Mom...something happened to her, she's been hospitalized," she trailed off, loud enough for me to hear. I slowed down my tracks, hearing her words.

"What?"
