"Good afternoon, I'm here to—" my voice died out when I locked eyes at the girl working on the desk.
After class ended, I went back on my duty as Bangtan's temporary manager while Chaeyoung went to her gardening club.
I opened the door and greeted everyone that is currently present, are Namjoon and Seokjin. They were plucking on their strings when they saw me.
"Hey, miss manager. Can you do us two favors?" Namjoon asked nervously, rubbing his nape. I smiled, nodding my head. "Sure, what is it?" I said, before sitting down on the nearby chair.
"We were trying to produce an original song and we like you to hear it."
"Wait, really?" I beamed, clapping my hands excitedly. "Go on, I'll listen attentively!" I promised which they replied with a small chuckle.
"Here it goes," Seokjin-oppa
...
I clapped my hands when they finished the verse, a big big smile appeared on my lips as I stand up. "That was...AWESOME!" I squealed, twirling around in excitement.
They both laughed at my hyper-excited state. "Thanks, I'm glad you like it," Namjoon-oppa smiled, lowering his bass guitar.
"Like it? No..." I shook my head, laughing a little. They raised their heads at me, worried before looking at each other.
Seokjin-oppa rubbed his nape with a sigh. "It's time to recheck, a few tweaks might help the song," he said, but my laugh became louder.
"Wait wait, no. That's not what I meant," I crossed my arms like an x-thingy shape, they raised a brow.
"I don't like the song... I LOVE IT MORE THAN MY SELF AND THAT'S A COMPLIMENT."
They were shocked but ended up laughing. The atmosphere inside the music room became more light and warm.
Their eyes crinkled, Namjoon-oppa's dimple even made an appearance while Seokjin-oppa let out his wind-shield laughter after saying that they got played by me.
My heartfelt warm seeing genuine happiness in their eyes, you could see that they are dedicated to their craft.
I may have misjudged them based on how popular they are, they deserve the hype. They are hard-working, always inside the room whenever I enter and that's every day.
I giggled, then opened my knitted bag. Pulling out my sticker box and smiled at them.
"Since you guys did a great job, I want to reward a sticker to you guys. May I?" I lifted my lips in a gentle smile. I'm really happy that they were slowly reaching another stepping stone towards their dream.
They nodded their head, grinning as they pushed their instruments toward me. " Make sure mine is color pink, " Seokjin-oppa glared at me playfully, I replied with a wink, showing him my limited-edition sparkly pink sticker that I obtained last week.
His eyes sparkled, giving me a fist bump. "Jennie best girl," he grinned, staring at the sparkly sticker on his guitar.
"Thanks for the vinyl sticker, it looks sick," Namjoon-oppa gave me a dimpled smile. I swear that I'm not gonna faint from these two handsome men.
I'm in heaven. I promise that I'll be good from now on if I get this view every day.
"Oh, I almost forgot," Namjoon-oppa spoke, making us face in his direction. "The second favor is to pass these papers to the student council, we still need to verify our entry for the upcoming festival in a few months," he explained, grabbing the stack of papers from his table, handing them to me.
"This early?" I furrowed my brows, accepting the papers in my hand. The festival is in October, which is a few months from now. It's very early to start planning.
FESTIVAL REGISTRATION - BATTLE OF THE BANDS AND CLUB BOOTH
The title of the file is in bold capital letters. It makes it look important and imitating to look at. I'm not sure about other clubs, but this one is more of a group. Not many can join, there are only 7 for goodness sake.
And all of them are popular, not only in school but also in surrounding schools. I even heard that students from other regions visit their concerts too.
"It's a big event that needs plenty of preparation, and ever since Jisoo became president, she made it perfect compared to the previous presidents," Seokjin-oppa added, making me flinch on the spot.
Now I don't wanna go to the office.
"Last year, I met her at the blind date booth. I couldn't look at her in the eye the whole time, our hands were tied together too!" Seokjin-oppa pouted, while Namjoon-oppa laughed.
Wait, is it what I'm thinking or I suddenly turn deaf?
If it's correct, damn.
"Man, it would be great to be her friend, but she's so cold even to her classmates," Seokjin-oppa complained, his shoulders slumped as he sat on a nearby seat.
"It's because you made it obvious that you like her," Namjoon-oppa nonchalantly revealed his hyung's secret. He blushed, throwing himself to Namjoon-oppa and hitting his shoulder while calling him. "BAKA! BAKA!"
"Stop it! You've watched too much anime, stop it. I won't tease you anymore," but his face was the opposite of his words, then he received another beating.
A friendly beating, they quote. It often happens to boys, so I didn't mind them.
"Since it's important, I'll hurry there," I smiled at them, waving a goodbye. Leaving Namjoon-oppa with a sulking Seokjin-oppa.
Back to the present.
I bit my lower lip and sighed, closing the door behind me. "I'm Bangtan's temporary manager, I just need your signature and I'll be out in no time," I gave her a fake smile, handing the papers to Jisoo.
She bit her lips and nodded her head, not saying a word. The office was quiet, and I didn't want to stare at her and glanced around the room.
White walls with calenders and a whiteboard filled with post-it notes. A water dispenser was placed on the side and there's even a computer beside the printing machine.
It looks like an office instead of the school council room.
So this is the office of the perfect President, that's why she doesn't want to reveal that I'm her sister. It would ruin her perfect image.
I internally scoffed, even dares to act that she cares. I don't like it.
"Here, just come back when we give notice for practice sessions in about a month or so," she spoke, arranging the stack of papers I gave her on the table and she gave me a piece of paper.
"It's not related to the club, but that's my phone number. If you need me, don't be afraid to call," she smiled, but I didn't return her smile. I sighed, reached out her paper back to her.
"I don't need it—"
"Oh! Ms. President, we need you now. There's a fight happening in the courtyard!" a girl barged in, sweating. Jisoo calmly smiled and stood up.
"Keep it if you want, if not, feel free to throw, but my offer still stands. I'm coming to you right away if you need me," she patted my shoulder and went outside the door.
I looked down at the paper in my hand, her handwriting is pretty. That's unfair, she's pretty and has pretty handwriting.
I bit my lower lip, sighing as I tucked the piece of paper at the back cover of my phone before leaving the student council office.
