We rushed into the hospital, and I don't know what was happening. Rosie looks like she was about to faint, tears rolling down her face.

As we reached the entrance, I wrapped my hand around her shoulder, awkward and didn't know how to comfort her.

Slowly walking towards the nurse's desk, trying to stop her hiccups. "E-Excuse me, do you know where Park Jimin is staying?" she asked in a worried voice.

The nurse looked up from the computer, her hair tied in a tight bun with the signature nurse hat. She pursed her lips, smiling. "Give me a moment,"

I was once more confused, I blinked, staring blankly as Chaeyoung and, the nurse interacted after she typed away on the computer. My mind was blanking out as I tried to think on what's the connection between Rosie and Jimin.

"—ah, yes. I'm here," she shook her head, as the nurse gave her a small smile. She gave Rosie and piece of paper, bowing her head. "I hope that I have given you great service, Ms. Park," Rosie gave a small smile, before pulling me away from the counter.

I blinked my eyes, still not processing the whole situation.

My mouth shut, I didn't dare myself to utter a word. We went inside the elevator until it closed shut as we were surrounded by tense air.

I peeked at Chaeyoung, staring blanking at the metallic door with an expressionless gaze. She was sighing the whole ride, up until the elevator dinged on the 5th floor.

Heading out, she immediately strutted towards the halls as I tried to catch up. I huffed my breath, pushing my hair back in annoyance since it kept going to different places.

I stopped when I saw Chaeyoung ahead in front of a wooden door with the room number plaque, she let out a small hiccup.

"H-He'll be alright, right?" she turned towards me with a quivering smile on her lips. My body automatically gave her a reassuring smile, placing a hand on my shoulder, tightening my hold.

"Why don't you go in and see for yourself?" I suggested, but she shook her head, fiddling with her fingers.

"I-I can't, I might not like the situation," she shakily replied, covering her face. I bit my bottom lip and pulled her in to give her a tight hug.

I awkwardly patted her back, trying to calm her down. "I'll hold your hand when we'll go inside, are you okay with that?" with that suggestion, she accepted.

My handheld on the know firmly, letting out a deep breath before twisting the knob. The cold temperature from the aircon sent shivers to my spine as I entered the room that is almost like an apartment room.

I shook my head and forced myself to focus. Chaeyoung clung to me for her dear life, taking small tiny steps to see the bed where Park Jimin laid on.

When we were about to reach the edge of the mini-hallway, Chaeyoung pulled me back. I gazed at her as she nervously bit her nails.

"I can't... I can't look at him..." she chuckled, fakely while biting her lower lips as her gaze was on the wooden floor.

"How about I'll take a peek, and I'll tell you if it's okay or not?"  she nodded her head, and I slowly started walking again.

The floor creaked a bit, making my heart race in both excitement and nervousness. Gulping, I let my head out to look but was instead faced with another human, which I'm sure is not Jimin.

My face turned red, immediately taking a step back and turned around to hide my burning face.

"What are you doing here? They aren't any strings here for you to steal," Taehyung sneered, placing himself in front of me, leaning on the wall with a raised eyebrow.

I nervously laughed, scratching my head. "You know—"

"Chaeyoung? You're already here?" a voice suddenly interrupted, catching us off-guard. It was a middle-aged woman in fancy clothing, jewelry embroidering her petite figure.

She was a few inches shorter than Rosie.

"Mother? Oh, good morning. I-I was about to check on Jimin..." she nervously chuckled, smiling while shyly scratching her head.

Did she call her mother, are they twins?

I glanced at Jimin, then back at Rosie. They might be related, since their both Parks. I shook my head, stopping my assumptions from getting out of hand.

I barely knew Chaeyoung, it would probably be better to wait for her to tell me. So, I sealed my lips, my focus back on the two.

The lady laughed, covering her mouth with a fan, shaking her head amusingly. "How adorable that you're worried about your fiancee?"

Wait, what?

My eyes widen, gazing at Chaeyoung as she smiled at the lady, before taking a glance in my direction. Her orbs were slightly shaky like she's nervous. She gulped, laughing tensely while fidgeting.

"You looked tired, have a seat beside Jiminie. He's currently resting, he kept muttering your name earlier, you know?" Mrs. Park gazed at Chaeyoung worriedly before her gaze shifted in my direction.

Her lips parted, eyes widen then snapped her head towards Chaeyoung's direction. Chaeyoung smiled, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Mother, this is Jennie Kim, a new friend. She drove me here."

She gave me a small smile, holding my hand abruptly, and shook it. I held a breath, eye wide open when she made contact, but I tried my best to hide my repulsed feeling. Mrs. Part looked at me brightly, smiling innocently.

It was just way too sudden, it caught me off-guard.

I let out a deep breath, controlling my slightly trembling voice. "It's nice to meet you, ma'am..." I let out a small smile. She grinned, letting go of my hand, my lips letting out a subtle sigh of relief as she turned her back.

"Come in, come in. I brought enough food for everyone," Mrs. Park called us, and I followed behind Chaeyoung since she hurriedly entered the room.

The room was modern, white, and clean. A few couches and tables, cabinets, and a bathroom. It looks very fancy, indeed.

My eyes caught sight of a slightly pale-looking man on the bed, machines beside him and a cast on his head. "Jimin-ah...what happened.." Chaeyoung's quiet sobs perked my ears, making me clench my fist as I placed it on top of my heart.

Memories from earlier flashing back inside my head. I knew it, I could never be happy since...whenever I feel unusually happy, pain comes afterward.

I looked down on the marbled floor, scoffing at myself.

"How pitiful..." I mumbled.
