RAGHVANSH'S POV:
[8 days later] 4th JuneI press on the call option once again just to see my call has been declined.
"Dammit! Why won't she just pick up my call?" I yell to no one in specific.
As you see—my love, my Venus, my Pihu, she just won't pick up my call. I have been trying to connect to her since the past fifteen minutes but have failed to do so, and now it is a bit concerning.
Is she okay?
Scrolling through my contacts, I quickly tap on her sister's number,
Sister-in-law
There it is. Please do not ask me why it is saved as so because I, myself am not very sure about it. Maybe because she is Utkarsh's girlfriend, and they should get married soon. That makes her my sister-in-law.
But.
Obviously you know—that is not the only idea running in my mind. How else can Aaraya be my sister-in-law?
Yup, you got that right. When I marry Piha.
My heart and brain don't take another minute to imagine the scenario which seems nothing but a fairy tale.
My fragile little girl in the bridal red lehenga with those heavenly jewels on and then she walks to the mandap smiling, as her father places her hand in mine. I touch his feet and he blesses me and informs me to take care of her forever.
Raghvansh! Hold your horses. Wasn't it fifteen days ago that you realised your love for her? Isn't it too early to think about marrying her?
No, I don't think so. The thought of marrying her doesn't feel absurd or weird at all, in fact, it give me goosebumps—making me feel thrilled.
Ignoring the silly thoughts regarding the future of my Venus and me—I press on the call button and put it on speaker as I nervously run my fingers through my hair.
She picks up within a few rings, "hello?"
"Aaraya...is Piha with you. She isn't picking up my call. She is at home, right?" I impatiently question.
Her voice decreases or more like she whispers, "yes she is here, in fact in front of me. But I am afraid that I cannot hand her the phone."
My eyes narrow in confusion as I further ask, "and why is that?"
"Aree, she's having an argument with dad right not. I mean not a big one, nothing to worry about. And yes, I did spot her taking glimpse of her phone and continue to decline the call. Don't feel bad okay? She will contact you soon."
I widen my eyes and continue to panic, "what's wrong? Why are they having an argument? She's not crying right?"
She chuckles lightly, "no, no, you don't need to worry about that. She is not. Maybe she's just frustrated."
"Oh, okay. I'll wait for her to call me then."
"Hmm." She hangs up and I place my phone down.
Resting my back against the the bedrest, I sigh deeply only for Aryan's voice to be heard, "yo Raghvan. We exist." The asshole reminds.
"I do know that, Aryan. Look at Kaushal, I'm ignoring him to right? He is not complaining like you are." I fire.
He passes me a look full of disbelief, "he's literally talking to Rahul! Do you think he cares about us right now?"
"I do care for you both," Kaushal nonchalantly states.
"Yes, your care is quite visible." Aryan butts in.
