"WE'LL GO BY ROAD"

ymir's words surprised you. "why? we can take dad's jet." you were in your room. ymir had already packed and it was you that was left.

connie was in your room too. just far away from you and quiet. "where we are going, there's no airports or landing pads princess."

"for fucks sake connie, why are you acting so awkward?" ymir turned back to the door where he was leaning to the side.

you try to stuff everything in a hurry so you can walk out of the uncomfortable room.

"oh shit, i gotta take this call," ymir said as she got up from your bed. "you only got milfs, you don't have any fucking friends...," you mumble, but you wished she had heard that.

she strides as the both of you felt the awkwardness that lingered in the air.

"so, you were going to leave without any goodbyes?" connie spoke first, cutting all the knots that bound you both.

ymir was the one who texted him and you were mad at him for not being there for you when needed.

"you could've.." you started, but when your thoughts were loud, you understood how selfish it sounded. how needy you were.

he walked over to the bed as you zipped your suitcase filled with clothes. he sat on the edge of the bed where he felt the coldness on your face. she was no longer there.

the woman connie had a crush on was no longer there. without saying anything, you get up from the floor, the pain traveling to your body once again.

the fact that you were blaming connie in the least bit, didn't sit right with you. you cursed at yourself more.

"it's okay to be selfish," connie read your mind like an open book. "it's okay to be selfish idiot," as you jolted towards the door dragging your suitcase he raised his voice. "blame me," he yelled through the room.

you stopped at the end of the doorway. facing your back to him, you looked at the staircase and the elevator that was right next to it.

you wanted to hide, because, underneath all that you were concealing, you knew that if another second was spent with him, you would cry.

"if i was just a man without these carnal desires for you," he blurted out in the silent room. "then, i would've called you often. asked you what was bothering you. asked you how your day was. checked on you, read manga with you."

you grip hard on the suitcase handle. the plain white dress that was stuck to your body was gradually starting to suffocate you.

"i'm sorry. for being selfish." his apologies reached ymir's ears who was down the stairs waiting for you. "so, it's only fair you are selfish."
