Joining the team

A few months later
(Quick bit of info, Bucky did have Hydra removed from his head, and the test did happen, but Shuri wants another test in a few years in case she missed anything)

I watched excitedly as Steve walked off the quinjet, and he spoke to T'challa briefly before he came to us

"How you guys been?" Steve asked
"Good for a hundred year old man" Bucky joked and I barked happily to answer, my tail wagging excitedly on the ground hitting Buckys shoe
"Good to see you too Ash" Steve petted my head and I licked his hand
"Ready?" Steve asked us and I stood up my toes tapping rapidly from my jumping
"Someone is" Bucky and Steve laughed
I playfully nipped buckys hand gaininga playful glare
"Let's go then" Steve told us and walked off

I sat by buckys feet, watching out the window
Watching the world zoom passed below us. My tail wagged happily behind me as small flames danced over my back in waves
The more I watched fields flash passed, my memories began to flash before me as well

I was kidnapped, and that had led to two years of excruciating torture. I shuddered, a cold shiver running down my spine and extinguished my small flames for a few seconds as the memories flashed in my mind

*memories*
I growled when the scientists walked into my cell, my pacing not breaking for a second.
"Take her" the man who took me in instructed
When they came closer I snarled, baring my teeth making them falter
"What are you waiting for? Take her!" Fake Collins shouted
The scientist sighed and stepped closer, and then he put a muzzle over my mouth before I could snap him in half.
My eyes widened in shock, I've not had one of these since 1407
I began to growl and thrash about as five big men jumped on me and pinned me down. I lit myself on fire, giving them all third-degree burns but my fire died when I felt the pinch of a syringe leave my neck
'Bastard!' I thought as everything went dark

I woke up a few hours later laying strapped down to a medical table. My fire was burning around me, and all the metal was melted. 'Good to know even unconscious my fire protects me' I internally praised myself

A man walked in, a leather rope in hand, it clicked in my head. A whip.
The man smirked and unfurled his whip, revealing that it had many sharp nails sticking out from uneven edges
"I'm going to enjoy this" he grinned and flicked his arm back inflicting his first hit
I howled when the nails dug into my exposed stomach and cut me open but only for the short moment before I healed. That torture lasted hours until he grew tired and left me to pant in pain questioning how I even got there

I hadn't been paying enough attention to realise that Bucky had seen my flames dip and the decreased sways in excited tail

I blinked the memory away not wanting to remember any others. I stayed at the window, calming down and surveying the land below passing under us.

Green fields, roads with hundreds of cars, cities shining like tiny galaxies, dark green forests and tall pointing peaks with light snow coatings.
The greenery disappeared into the continuous blue waves of the Atlantic. That's when I moved

I stepped over Steve's suit bag and jumped into the seat beside Bucky. He smiled and patted his lap, so I lay my head down accepting the comfortable pillow.
My eyes drooped when he began to scratch my head and back, a soothing massage. And before I knew it I had fallen asleep, with Bucky falling asleep soon after.

"Come on you two, we're here" Steve shook me awake
I looked at the blonde through half lidded eyes, sleepily I stood up stretching my large wolf body and opening my jaw in a big yawn, curling my tongue into my mouth
"What time is it?" Bucky asked rubbing his eyes too
"It's just after midnight. Everyone is out on a mission so it's just us till lunch tomorrow" steve led us off the jet and onto the roof
The cold air hit me like a wall, instantly waking me up. I looked upwards to see the stars
