Y/n's POV:

I woke up to someone hitting my chest repeatedly. "Come on, kid!" A man shouted. Am I dead? Am I in heaven? Or am I in hell? The only thing I would go to hell for is laughing when kids fall in public. "Come on!" A voice so familiar shouted. "W-Will?" I weakly asked from the pain in my throat. My eyes opened as I sat up and gasped for air. "That's it, breathe." Joyce said as a man put a breathing mask over my face. I felt my eyelids almost close but then I saw Will. I grabbed onto Wills hand, tightly, and weakly smiled.

                          ::SMALL TIME SKIP::

I felt a burning against my eyelids which made me open them. I adjusted to my surroundings and saw a bright light above me. I turned to my side weakly and saw my brother, Nancy, my mom, and my dad. "Hey, sweetie." My mom said as some tears fell down her cheeks. "Where am I?" I asked. Nancy grabbed onto my hand. "You're in the hospital." Mike said with a sad smile. "You're safe now." Nancy said with a broken smile. I weakly smiled back.

"What happened to your hand, Nance?" I asked in concern, seeing a bandage around my sister hand. "Oh, this? It's nothing, really." Nancy said as she rubbed my shoulder. My eyes widened as tears filled my eyes. "Where's— where's Will?" I asked.

"I'm right here." Will said from beside me. I turned to my other side and saw Will in a hospital bed next to me. Next to him was Joyce, Jonathan, Lucas, and Dustin. I smiled at them as I looked back at Will. I grabbed onto Wills hand. "You see? I promised you we'd make it out of that horrible place." Will said. We both laughed as tears left our eyes. "You did." I said.

::ONE MONTH LATER::

We were all playing D&D in Mike and I's basement, just like good times. It's been good being home, it's great actually. "Something is coming. Something angry. Hungry for your blood. It is almost here." Mike said. "What is it?" Will asked. "It's the thessalhydra, I'm telling you." Dustin said. "It's not the thessalhydra." Lucas said. "I bet you anything it's the Demogorgon." I whispered to Will. "It already got us though." Will joked which made us both quietly laugh.

"I'm telling you, it's the thessalhydra." Dustin said. "The thessalhydra!" Mike said as he slammed down the thessalhydra game piece. "Damn it." Dustin said. "It roars in anger! Will your action!" Mike shouted. "What should I do? I—" Will started but Lucas cut him off. "Fireball him!" Lucas shouted. Will looked over at Dustin. "Fireball the son of a bitch." Dustin said which made all of us laugh.

Will grabbed the dice and rolled them in his hands. "Fourteen!" Dustin shouted. "Yes, Will!" I shouted as I pulled him into a hug. "Direct hit. Will the Wise's fireball hits the thessalhydra. It makes a painful..." Mike said as he dramatically got on the ground and started to screech. "And then... it crumbles to the ground. Its clawed hand reaches for you one last time and, and, and... and..." Mike said as he 'died.'

We all cheered and hugged Will. "Lucas cuts off its seven heads, and Dustin places them into his bag of holding. You carry the heads out of the dungeon, victorious, and you present them to King Tristan. He thanks you for your bravery and service." Mike said. "Whoa. whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not it, is it?" Dustin asked. "No, there's a medal ceremony—" Mike started but I cut him off. "Really? A medal ceremony?" I asked. "Oh, a medal ceremony? What are you talking about?" Dustin asked.

"And—" Mike started but Lucas cut him off. "The campaign was way too short." Lucas said. "Yeah!" Will said. "Yeah, Mike. It wasn't that long." I said. "It was ten hours!" Mike said. "But it doesn't make any sense." Dustin said. "It makes sense." Mike said. "Uh, no, what about the lost knight?" Dustin asked. "And the proud princess?" Lucas asked. "And those weird flowers in the cave?" Will asked. "Weren't they poisonous?" I asked. "We never figured that out." Will said which made us both chuckle.

"I don't know, it's—" Mike started but got cut off as Jonathan opened the basement door. "Jeez, what's that smell? Have you guys been playing games all day, or just farting?" Jonathan asked which made all of us laugh. "Oh, that's just Dustin. He farted." Lucas said which made Dustin stop laughing. "Dustin farted." Lucas sang as he blew a raspberry. "Okay." Dustin said. "Dustin farted." Lucas sang. "Very mature, Lucas." Dustin said.

"Oh." Dustin said. "Dustin farted." Lucas continued to sing as he blew more raspberries. "Will. Come on." Jonathan said. "Bye, guys." Will said. "Bye, Will." Lucas and Dustin said. "See you, Will." Mike said. "Wait, Will." I said as I grabbed his hand. Everyone else was messing around and not paying attention. Jonathan gave us a look. "I'll just be a minute." Will said. "Alright, buddy." Jonathan said with a smile as he walked away. "I have a gift for you, upstairs." I said. "Okay." Will said with a smile. We both walked upstairs and walked up the other set of stairs to my room.

"Here." I said as I grabbed the nicely wrapped present. I handed Will the gift. Will took it with a big smile. "What is it?" Will asked as he went to open the present but I stopped him. "No, no. I want you to open it tomorrow, and then call me and tell me what you think." I said. "Okay, thanks Y/n." Will said. "No, thank you, Will." I said as I leaned closer and kissed his lips. Will blushed and looked down. "Will! Are you ready to go?!" Jonathan shouted from downstairs.

"Well, I better go." Will said. "Yeah." I said. Will grabbed my hand and we walked downstairs. "So, you both have fun?" Jonathan asked. "Yeah." Me and Will said as we passed my mom. "Hey, boys, and Y/n." My mom said with a smile. "Hey, Mrs. Wheeler." Jonathan said. "Hi." Will said. I smiled at my mom. "Hey, wish your mom a merry Christmas for me, okay?" My mom asked. "Yeah." Will said. "Yeah, thank you. Uh, merry Christmas." Jonathan said. "Merry Christmas." My mom said.

"So, uh, you win?" Jonathan asked. "Yeah." Will said. "Awesome." Jonathan said. "Bye Will and Jonathan. Happy holidays, oh! And tell Joyce thank you for everything that she's done, and happy holidays." I said. "Will do, happy holidays Y/n." Jonathan said. "Bye Y/n, happy holidays." Will said. I blushed and smiled.

"Hey, Jonathan, wait up." Nancy said as she came downstairs, holding a present. "Uh..." Jonathan trailed off as Nancy gave him the present. "Merry Christmas." Nancy said. "Thanks, um... I... I didn't get you anything. I... I feel bad." Jonathan said. "No. No, it's, uh, it's not really a present. It's, um... well, you'll see." Nancy said.

Nancy leaned in and kissed Jonathan's cheek which made me and Will look at each other and laugh quietly. "Merry Christmas." Jonathan said. "You ready? Let's go." Jonathan said. "Yeah." Will said. Will let go of my hand which made me frown. "Bye, guys." I said. "Bye." Will and Jonathan both said as they left. I looked at Nancy with a knowing look. "Ooh, you like Jonathan?" I asked. "What? No! I just... I'm dating Steve, Y/n. You know this." Nancy said with a laugh as she walked away, into the living room.

I just went upstairs to my room, to sleep since I was tired. Me and Will never actually started dating, but there's obviously a connection there. I felt tears fill my eyes but I quickly blinked them away.
