Y/n's POV:

I slowly walked towards El and brought her into a hug. We held each other tightly as we sobbed against each other's shoulders. "God, I... I missed you so much. I knew you were alive." I said as I pulled away. "I missed you too. I'm glad you're okay." El said. I stepped away. I knew Mike wanted to see her so bad.

"Eleven." Mike said. "Mike." El said as they brought each other into a hug. "I never gave up on you. I called you every night. Every night for..." Mike trailed off.

"Three hundred and fifty three days. I heard." El said. Mike stared at her in surprise. "Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?" Mike asked. "Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper said.

"The hell is this? Where you been?" Hopper asked as he pulled El into a hug. "Where have you been?" El asked. "You've been hiding her. You've been hiding her this whole time!" Mike said as he hit the back of Hoppers jacket.

"Hey! Let's talk. Alone." Hopper said. Mike stared at him in anger as Hopper brought him to Wills room. I heard them arguing which made me sigh in sadness.

"We missed you." Lucas said as El hugged both Lucas and Dustin. "I missed you, too." El said. "We talked about you pretty much every day." Dustin said.

El stared at Dustin in confusion. El touched Dustins teeth. "Teeth." El said. "What?" Dustin asked. "You have teeth." El said. Dustin and Lucas looked at each other and smiled.

"Oh. You like these pearls?" Dustin asked as he purred. El looked taken aback as I just laughed and shook my head. "Eleven?" Max said as she walked forward.

"Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." Max said as she held out her hand. El just glared at her as she walked right past her. Max held her head down in sadness which made me walk over to her. I rubbed Max's shoulder comfortingly. "Don't worry. She will warm up to you." I said. Max nodded her head slowly.

"Hey. Hey, sweetheart. Hey." Joyce said as her and El hugged. "Can I see him?" El asked. Joyce sighed and stared at her with sadness. "Y/n, you can come too if you want." Joyce said. I nodded and followed them to Jonathan's room, where Will was.

"He's not doing well." Joyce said. "I know. I saw." El said. "What else did you see?" Joyce asked. El looked at me and Joyce with worried expressions. We walked back into the kitchen where the cardboard back is the notebook said "Close Gate."

"You opened this gate before, right?" Joyce asked. "Yes." El said. The others walked into the room. "Do you think if we got you back there, that you could close it?" Joyce asked. El looked at Joyce.

"It's not like it was before. It's grown. A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs." Hopper said with a sigh.

"Demo-dogs." Dustin said. "Dustin! That's not even important right now." I said in an annoyed tone. "I'm sorry, what?" Hopper asked. "I said, uh, Demo-dogs. Like Demogorgon and dogs. Like, you put them together, it sounds pretty badass..." Dustin trailed off.

"Y/n was right. How is this important right now?" Hopper asked in an aggravated tone. "It's not. I'm sorry." Dustin said.

"I can do it." El said. We all looked at her. "You're not hearing me." Hopper said. "I'm hearing you. I can do it." El said. "Even if El can, there's still another problem. If the brain dies, the body dies." Mike said.

"I thought that was the whole point." Max said. "It is, but if we're really right about this... I mean, if El closes the gate and kills the mind flayer's army..." Mike trailed off.

"Will's apart of that army." Lucas said. I widened my eyes in realization. "Closing the gate will kill him." I said. I felt tears brim my eyes. I can't lose Will. I promised that I wouldn't let him die.

We all followed Joyce into Jonathan's room. "He likes it cold." Joyce said. "What?" Hopper asked. "It's what Will kept saying to me. He likes it cold." Joyce said. Joyce went over to the window and closed it.

"We keep giving it what it wants." Joyce said. "If this is a virus, and Will's the host, then..." Nancy trailed off. "Then we need to make the host uninhabitable." Jonathan said.

"So if he likes it cold..." Nancy said. "We need to burn it out of him." I said. "We have to do it somewhere he doesn't know this time." Mike said.

"Yeah, somewhere far away." Dustin said. Hopper looked at all of us before we walked outside. I was carrying Will over my shoulder. "Take Denfield, then you'll see a large oak tree. You're gonna swing a right. That road is gonna be dead-end. And it's about a five-minute walk from there." Hopper said. I got in Joyce's car with Will lying on top of me.

"Okay. Denfield to oak tree. Swing a right. That's it. But it's channel ten, right?" Jonathan asked. "It's channel ten. Listen... You let me know when that thing is out of him." Hopper said. Jonathan, Joyce, and Nancy got in the car as well. Before we left I said bye to El, because I didn't wanna lose her tonight.
