I woke up to the sound of someone pounding on my door. I sighed, slowly getting up even though I didn't want to. I wrapped my blanket around my body, and made my through the kitchen to the front door. I unlocked and quickly opened the door, immediately smiling when I saw Jon standing in the hallway.
"Aaron said you got sick at school." He said quickly. "Wanted to make sure you were alright."
"Oh, yeah. I'm feeling better, I've been asleep since I got home." I told him.
"Oh, sorry to wake you." He said, stepping into my apartment.
"It's fine." I smiled at him. "What time is it?"
"Just after four, I had to stop at home before I came here." He said, pulling me to his chest. "Do you want to go back to sleep, I can go back home..."
"No!" I half yelled.
"Alright then." Jon laughed a little. "Have you eaten anything?"
"No..." I stared down at my hands. "After throwing up, I didn't really feel like eating."
"You didn't have much at lunch, you stole some fries from Christina but that's all I've seen you eat." He said quietly. "Do you have soup?"
"I might..."
"Let's go see then." He smiled, walking into the kitchen.
I followed behind Jon, and leaned up against the counters as he looked through my cupboards for soup. Jon pulled a can of vegetable soup out of the cupboard and told me to sit down while he made it. I listened and sat down at my small dining room table.
"Here." Jon smiled, placing a bowl full of vegetable soup down in front of me.
"Thank you." I said quietly, taking the spoon he held out to me.
"So, what's going on with you and Ben?" Jon asked, taking a seat across from me.
"Nothing." I shrugged, placing the spoon in my mouth.
"He's not normally like that with you..." Jon trailed off.
"We got into a bit of a fight on Sunday, is all." I lied. "I was going to tell you when I went to your house, but I didn't think it mattered that much."
"Oh." He kept his eyes on the bowl in front of me. "What'd you fight about?"
"Uhh..." I couldn't think of a lie.
"You're hiding something." Jon sighed.
"It's an issue with Ben." I told him quickly. "He asked me not to tell anyone."
"Alright." Jon smiled at me. "I hope you two can figure something out, because I don't like it when my best friend fights with my girlfriend."
"I'll talk to him." I smiled, taking a spoonful of soup.
"Alright, now start eating that soup." Jon pointed at the still full bowl.
"Alright." I sighed, putting the spoon in my mouth.
