We found Christina in the cafeteria sitting with Aaron. Both asked if we'd seen Ben, and Jon explained what had happened, earning me a questioning glance from Aaron.
"Smoking is kind of gross." Christina shrugged. "But I don't see why he's acting like that about it."
"Ben gets this way, must be that time of the month." Aaron laughed. "He'll be fine, just give him time."
"Yeah, that's we told Devon." Ian said, sitting down next to Christina.
"So, what's going on with you two?" Aaron asked Christina and Ian. "Have you talked since Saturday?"
"Well, obviously." Christina stated.
"Are you guys a thing now?" Jon asked.
"What happened Saturday?" I asked feeling left out.
"How do you know about it?" Christina asked Jon.
"Ian's my friend?" Jon laughed. "Sooo?"
"Well, we're not dating..." Christina trailed off.
"Why not?" Aaron asked, raising his voice.
"Because we want to know each other better." Ian stated. "So we're just seeing each other for now."
"You guys are adorable." I told them.
"That's true." Aaron nodded.
Before we knew it the bell rang and all of us ran off to our third period classes. I sighed heavily when I entered the room to see both Ben and Aaron sitting in the far back... I forgot Ben was in this class with me. I slowly made my way to the back of the room, praying the next 75 minutes would go by as quickly as possible.
"You're pregnant!" Aaron whisper yelled when I sat down.
"You told Aaron?!" I shot at Ben.
"He already knew I slept with you." Ben shrugged.
"You're pregnant and smoking, Devon?" Aaron asked, sounding a little concerned.
I felt my anxiety rise, all I wanted right now was to get out of here and away from this situation. Ben started talking but I could barely register his voice, as I stood and bolted to the front of the room where I threw up in the trash can placed beside the door. Fuck.
"Devon, you need to go to the office and get yourself signed out." Our teacher Mr. LeClair said from his spot at the front of the room.
I wiped my mouth, and nodded keeping my eyes on the floor as I left the room and headed to the office. I told the secretary what had happened, and she wrote me a note excusing me from class the rest of the day. I brought the note back to Mr. LeClair, gathering up my things and leaving the room.
"Get some rest." Aaron said, before I left. "I'll let Jon know you went home."
"Thanks." I mumbled before leaving.
