I wanted to curl up into a ball and die. Jon knew, he knew everything. I couldn't hear him anymore though, I couldn't hear anything my panic and anxiety had drowned the noise out. I should've told him when it all happened... Over a fucking year ago. I tried to breathe, but it felt like something heavy was sitting on my chest, I could feel myself desperately trying to suck air into my lungs, but I couldn't and eventually I just let go.
I woke up in an incredibly bright white room, there was a redundant beeping coming from my right and I could hear people whispering. I opened my eyes again, this time allowing myself to adjust to the light, rather than snapping them shut again. I was in a hospital room, ugly curtains were pulled around my side, closing off my view from everything else. Two empty putrid green chairs were on the far right side of the room... Empty. I let out a heavy sigh, rubbing my face with my hands.
"Devon?"
I nearly jumped out of my bed, I turned to the left to see Aaron, leaned up against the wall.
"You're here." I said quietly.
"The others are outside... are you okay?" He asked, his eyes filled with concern.
"I'm fine, I can breathe now." I told him.
"I'm sorry." He said, pulling his mouth to the side. "Ben should've kept his mouth shut... I mean this definitely wasn't the right time or place for that to come up."
"Is Jon here?" I asked quickly.
Aaron nodded.
"Tell him to come in... I want to talk to him."
"Alright." Aaron sighed. "If it's what you want."
Jon stepped into the room, closing the curtain behind himself. He didn't look at me, just sat in one of the putrid green chairs, staring at the curtain.
"I have to talk to you." I said quietly.
"You think?" He scoffed looking up. His lip was bruised, and a cut was scabbed on it.
"I know, I should've told you when it happened but I was so afraid of what you'd do." I bit my lip, holding my tears back. "I'm sorry."
"I can't believe you'd cheat on me, Devon." He spit, his tone filled with hate.
"I didn't know!" I almost cried. "I was drinking so much and I just let it happen..."
"With one of my best friends!" He yelled. "Who you've seen plenty of times since then! How do I know you weren't fucking the whole damn time?"
I sucked in a breath, feeling my tears well up. "I wouldn't..."
"What? Do that to me? Because obviously you would." He shot at me.
I couldn't think of words to say, I knew he's act this way when he found out...
"After graduation, I hope I never have I see you again." He spit. "Honestly, you absolutely disgust me. Please, stay far the fuck away from me."
Jon got up and left after that, leaving me to cry alone. No one came back in after him, except a nurse to check on me and tell me visiting hours had ended and that my friends had promised to come back the next day. I didn't care though, I didn't want to see anyone, the only person I could dream of seeing wanted nothing to do with me... And that broke me completely.
A/N: so it's not the best but it's an update! I'm happy with it and I hope you are too! Let me know what you think will happen in the future chapters, okay? I want to know what you guys think will happen now! Love you, remember to vote & comment. xx Jess
