(Cassia POV)

I woke up in a dark room, still holding on to the soft couch pillows with my dear life. I had fallen asleep after letting out the tears I had been holding in for weeks. It is now dark outside and the living room was still empty.

"Jarvis what time is it?" I sit up holding onto the bruise on my waist thinking I should have handled that fight better, maybe ended it earlier. I stare at the melted ice pack on the floor that Cap was so kind to get me.

"It is six thirty-nine in the evening Ms. Thenrin." His voice comes through strong and heavy in the silence.

"Thank you Jarvis" I rub my eyes and run my fingers through my thick hair noticing it got knotted up quite a bit during my sleep. I was sleeping for over two hours. I'm actually surprised nobody came in and woke me up. I was left completely alone for the first time since I got here.

I take a minute before getting up. Taking a deep breath and walking to the long windows that draped the longest wall in the room. I once was going to run out of this room to steal the Quinjet. I smile at myself.

I'll have to figure out how to steal that beauty. Maybe take a night ride in the clear sky somewhere nice. Maybe a beach.

A tear drops down my cheeks thinking about all I have missed.

I don't hear the footsteps behind me until they are close. I expect to see Bucky, to stay with me again as he usually does in silence. Instead I turn around and see Cap holding a black book with a pen giving me a soft smile.

Once he looks closer he quickly comes and gives me a suffocating hug. I still can't get used to how much this man loves to hug me. I take in his scent. He smell fresh, like soap and his woodsy cologne. It's so nice I don't let go of the hug for a bit.

He pools away slightly, still holding me tightly he takes his free hand wipes the remaining tears  away. "Are you okay?" He asks concerned.

"Yea, I just...I haven't done that in a while, it was overdue" I say pulling away from him hoping he won't push for more information. I face the window again looking at the city lights disappearing into the horizon turning into stars in the sky.

"I got you something I think you would like" Cap says handing me the book he was holding. "A friend gave me one when I got out of the ice, to help me work through things, also to help me remember all the new things I wasn't used to." He gives me a smart ass smile and stares down at me through his lashes.

"Thank you Cap, this is really sweet of you" I look outside again and immediately think of something to add to the book. I open it feeling him watching. I start writing and look at him suspiciously.

He was trying to sneak a peak.

He looks away and fake whistles as I keep writing. "Okay there. One thing down"

"What did you write? If you don't mind me asking. I mean..it's none of my business that's private..It's something I shouldn't ask a lady..never mind" He gets flustered and stares at the floor trying to catch his breath.

"Breath Cap it's okay. I'll tell you, just this once since you got me the book." He looks up at me excited like a puppy waiting for a treat. I giggle a bit and shake my head. Instead of reading it to him I hand him the book.

"Steal the Quinjet and go to the beach, I have never seen the beach before but it looks nice in pictures." He reads out loud. His smile fades when he looks at me with sorrow.

"Don't look at me like that, many people haven't been to the beach" I say more to myself than to him.

"I can't let you steal the quinjet" He says to me with a deep sigh. "But if you go get ready I can sneak you out on it" He stares at me as my eye widen with happiness. I quickly hug him and run to my room.
