(Steve POV)

I walk out behind her waiting for everyone to walk away. I grabbed her arm softly.

"Cass.."

"I know what I'm doing Steve, don't worry." She places her hand on top of mine. Even with her words she was slightly shaking.

I place my hand against her cheek. Her eyes close. "Steve, I can't"

"I know. I just want you to be careful." I look into her eyes. I know I don't have the right to ask to be any closer to her. But I want to, I need to. "If you need me, for anything, I won't mind." I know she will understand what I mean.

She nods softly and steps away from my touch. My hand already feeling cold away from her. "You should talk to Bucky, he's...well he's having issues, you always seemed to get his mind straight."

"Sure, what is it about?" She looks at me confused.

"It's about you actually." I hold my hands together in front of me trying to avoid reaching out to her again.

"Okay, I'll go talk to him in a bit. Thanks." I nod, turn and walk away.

I look for Nat, to get the details of the intel she had already collected the past few months to Clint. This was Cassias show now. It was our job to follow her instructions and make sure she stays safe.

By the afternoon Wanda had Cass on a drill in the training grounds. Bucky stood on the side watching. I suppose they already spoke.

"How's she doing?" I stand next to him watching every detail of the training.

"Terrible, but that's the plan." He seems nervous. When I look at Cass she has bruises forming on her left arm, she is dragging her short sword on the floor and is completely out of breath.

"Can I get a break? I'm tired." Cass yells out at Wanda.

"When you get this move correctly you can rest. What have you been doing up there eating cake? Move your ass." Wanda yelled back.

I wanted to stop this, she looked hurt but I needed to remember this was all fake. I watched Cass dodge some of Wanda's attacks, then getting hit on her leg with a rubber bullet from a robot. She dropped her sword and laid down on her back.

"I can't...I need a break" She choked up almost crying. Bucky ran up to her and told Wanda to end this for today.

"We don't do that with any other recruit, why would I do that to her?" Wanda got in his way.

"Because she's your friend and in pain." Bucky squared up to Wanda.

"It's because she's my friend I am working her so hard."

"ALRIGHT" I interrupted. I know this was a show but I was getting frustrated. "You can have her tomorrow Wanda. I need her rested for her morning sessions" I walk up to Cass and hand her the sword. I pick her up in my arms and carry her to her room.

Once inside and the doors close I let her drop from my hands and she stretches out like she woke up from a nap. Someone knocked, I had a feeling it was Bucky so I opened the door. He walked in and checked her out.

"Are you okay?" He was really worried, hell so was I.

Cass laughed and patted Bucky on the chest. "I'm fine Buck. Just bruises, nothing I haven't dealt with before." She grabbed a rag and began cleaning her sword before putting it away.

She looked at us and sighed "I'm fine. I'm more worried about the damn run I have to do in the morning."

Cass takes off her shirt. I turn around to give her privacy. Bucky still watches so I slap his arm forcing his to turn around too. I hear Cass giggle. "You can look now" We both turn back around with blushes on our faces. "We need to talk."
