Part 43

i'm skipping the restaurant part cause i already wrote about a date at a fancy restaurant once and now it's the morning after

I was woken up by Sammy shaking me slightly. "Babe wake up." He whispered into my ear. "What time is it?" I asked him without opening my eyes. "It's eleven." He replied.

"Oh shit I promised my mom I'd be home at 10 because I have some doctor appointment." 

"Well you should probably get ready them babe."

Around 10 minutes later I was dressed and already inside my car driving home. I was hoping that my mom wasn't going to be that mad. I opened the front door and found my mom sitting in the kitchen. She was actually talking to someone I just couldn't see who it was yet. 

"Kaitlynn! Finally you're here!" My mom shouted and gave me one of her fake smiles.

"Listen- I'm sorry for being late I-" 

"Oh right I forgot to tell you the doctor appointment is next Thursday. But see who's here for you!"

I stepped through the kitchen door and immediately took a few steps back once I saw him. 

"Kate!" He said and stood up to hug me. I tried to push him away but my body suddenly started working and I couldn't think straight.

"Kev-?" 

"I'll leave you two love birds alone for a bit." My stupid mom said and left the room. Love birds? What the fuck.

"What do you want?" I asked Kevin.

"I missed you too babe!" He replied.

"Don't ever babe me again. I told you to leave me alone."

"Babe, I know you still love me."

"You fucking cheated on me and broke my heart. Oh and don't forget that because of you Rose hated me and planned her revenge."

"It's the past babe. I won't leave you that easily. That Sammy dude isn't good for you." 

"Leave!"

"Nah thanks I'm fine here."

"Get the fuck out of my house. And don't ever come back." I said and pushed him out of the front door as hard as possible.

"Mom!" I shouted upstairs. Soon she came running downstairs.

"And? Are you back together? You know I always liked Kevin more than Sammy." 

"What's your problem? Mom he cheated on me! He broke my heart and basically ruined my life last year! How dare you let him in here? He hurt me and you don't care?"

"He made a mistake! I can see he's a really nice guy!" 

"Then why don't you just date him if he's such a nice guy? I mean you're obviously into younger guys now!" I shouted and stormed out of the house.

Since I hadn't eaten anything so far I decided to get me some Taco Bell. Screw eating healthy. I got some burrito and a baja blast. I also texted Sammy and asked him if he was up for a beach day. He responded that he would meet me at the beach in 20. Luckily I had all my beach stuff inside the car and was already wearing my swimsuit.

15 minutes later I was at the beach and looked for a quiet place for me and Sammy. Am I going to tell him about Kevin? I probably should because who knows when Kevin will pop up next and annoy us two. I have to explain everything to him. 

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. Please just let this be Sammy. I turned around and immediately smiled. "Sammy! I missed you!" I said and hugged him real tight. 

"We saw each other like 2 hours ago but yeah I missed you too! How was your doctor appointment" He replied laughing.

"My mom rescheduled it. But I still have to talk to you.." 

"Oh okay about what?"

"So you know that Rose wanted to get revenge on me because I dated her ex Kevin right?" He nodded. "So today when I came home he was inside my house. He was actually talking to my mom and well.. she wants us to get back together and stuff although she knows that he broke my heart. She clearly doesn't care about my feelings. Kevin said he won't leave me and called me babe I'm scared he wants to try and get me back.."

"What exactly did he do?"

"He cheated a couple times.."

"Don't worry Kate. I won't let him anywhere near you. You know you're always safe with me and if that dick tries touching you I will make sure he will regret that. Can you answer me one question honestly?" This time I was the one nodding. "Do you still like him?"

"Feelings don't just disappear.. I hate him for what he did but if he acts all nice again my mind might fall for him again. But I know how he actually is I won't allow him to take me away from you. I only want to be with you."

"I won't let him to take away my girl either. I love you Kate."

"I love you too." 

I'm glad he didn't get mad or anything that my life is just really complicated and I'm dragging him into all these problems. He just always reacts so perfect I don't even know what he's doing with me anymore. I love him so much I don't think anyone will ever understand me.

After we had eaten and relaxed at the beach for a couple hours we decided to drive home. I was going to stay the night at Sammy's again but we still drove to mine to pick up a couple things for me. It was around 6 pm when we arrived.

There where two police cars outside of my house. Why is the police here? Is my mom okay? Did something happen? "Sammy? Wh-?" I silently asked Sammy. He opened my door and held my hand while we were walking to the front door. 

"Are you Kaitlynn Miller?" One police officer asked me and I nodded.

"Your mother Laura Miller has been arrested for drug possession. You can come to the station with us now."
