Part 46

*AN: I can't believe this is already my last chapter! It's kinda boring though so sorry :/ The epilogue is coming next and I'm already pretty excited for it! "Thank you guys for this amazing tour you're honestly the best fans in the world we love you all so much! We'll see you during our next tour!"

"Sammy? Are you still up?" I whispered into his ear.

"Yeah why?"

"Thanks for the past few months. That was honestly the best experience I've ever made and it made me really happy."

"It wouldn't have been this amazing without you so thank you for coming with us. I had a great time"

"Me too."

Sammy and I were now laying in his bed in the hotel we were staying in for tonight. We've been pretty much living in hotels or the tour bus since September but now the tour was sadly over. I had an amazing time. I rarely thought about my mom too. She still had about 5 years left in jail and I had visited her a couple times. She seemed sad because she was in jail but I think she's still feeling better now than she was before, she's getting help now.

"Kate?" 

"Yeah?"

"Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving next week yet?"

"No, I was gonna visit my dad probably but he's in Asia I think. Why?"

"I want you to meet my family and I don't want you to be alone here in L.A."

"Sammy I really don't want to disturb you and your family on Thanksgiving I don't want to ruin your time with your family!"

"I've already talked to them and they said you're welcome to join us and they can't wait to finally meet you!"

"Are you sure they'll be fine with me there? After all we've only been dating for like 5 months I don't wanna ruin Thanksgiving."

"You won't. I think my family would be happy with you there and they won't mind. I won't let you stay here all by yourself."

"That's so nice of you and your family Sammy. Thank you."

"So you'll fly to Omaha with me?"

"Yes. When are we leaving though?"

"In two days, we'll stay in Omaha until Saturday and fly back here Saturday morning."

"Please tell your family thanks for the invitation I really appreciate it."

two days later, wednesday

"Babe wake up, we're here." Sammy whispered into my ear after a three hour long flight. Here I was in Omaha about to meet my boyfriend's family. His sister Emily was going to pick us up and I was already pretty nervous. I slowly  opened my eyes and made sure I had all my stuff with me before leaving.

We soon got out bags and then made our way to the main entrance where Emily was waiting for us. Right as she noticed us she ran towards us and hugged Sammy. Damn I wish I had an older brother. 

"So you must be Kate, wow you're really beautiful." Emily said smiling once she turned towards me and greeted me with a hug. Wow this family is so nice.

After talking and catching up for a while we walked to Emily's car. Sadly Sammy got shotgun and I had to sit in the back all by myself. The Wilkinson's house was only 15 minutes away from the airport so we we arrived there pretty quickly. It was to soon for me I still wasn't ready for meeting Sammy's parents. Sure I know Emily now and she's really nice but I don't want to disappoint his parents. 

As we got out of the car Sammy gave me an encouraging smile and held my hand. "Don't worry babe, everything will be fine." He said. I hope he's right. At first we were greeted by his brother Ben and his sister Annie. Like Emily they both greeted me with hugs. This family is so incredibly nice they really make me feel welcomed.

Now it was time to meet Sammy's parents Dave and Lori. They walked out of the front door and immediately hugged the both of us. "I'm glad we finally get to meet you! Sammy won't stop talking about you and I can see why." Lori said smiling. "Thanks! I've heard a lot about you two and I hope we can get to know each other. And thanks for the nice invitation it really means a lot to me." I replied.

"No problem Kate. We really didn't want you to spend Thanksgiving by yourself and we wanted to meet the girl that our son fell in love with." Lori said. How cute is she? The Wilikinson's are just family goals. 

We spent the rest of Wednesday just catching up and getting to know each other better. No wonder Sammy is such a perfect guy his whole family basically is. I didn't even know it was possible to be such a perfect family. They probably have their problems though too, everyone does. Nobody's perfect (hannah montana voice)!

thursday

Thanksgiving. We woke up early in the morning and then together with the Johnson's and the Gilinsky's we went for a walk. Just like the Wilikinson's both of their families were really nice to me. I don't think I had ever had such an amazing Thanksgiving with my  family. 

Once it was time for dinner we sat down at our table and started with one of the Wilkinson's' traditions: saying what we're thankful for. The family probably said their usual things they say every year but this time they also included me. I have to admit I was really happy at that moment, I felt loved. And then it was my time.

"I'm thankful for being healthy and happy and having so many good people around me. I'm also thankful for meeting Sammy and for being invited to this incredible dinner. Thank you all." I said. They all aw'ed me and Sammy gave me a short peck on the cheek before starting to eat the turkey. That turkey was so delicious I don't think I've ever eaten that good on Thanksgiving.

The rest of that Thursday went by pretty fast. All we did was talk about our childhood and Sammy's tour. It was pretty fun and I had gotten really good friends with Sammy's siblings already I hope our friendship will last even when I'm back in L.A. 

friday

On Friday Sammy, Nate and the Jacks all went out together to do some guys stuff while I went shopping with Emily and Annie. At night Sammy's siblings all went out with some friends and his parents also went out to get some food. So it was just me and Sammy there. It was nice to spend time with him and his family but we still needed some romantic alone time. I liked just staying in bed cuddling, talking and eventually doing some other things. (*AN: if you know what i mean ;))) It was weird how this boy made me feel. I never thought I'd be someone who likes doing nothing and just laying in bed cuddling with a boy but honestly I couldn't think of anything better than that. 

I guess I'm just really in love with this boy. I'm so thankful for everything that has happened this summer. All the ups and downs and everything, it was so worth it. My whole life changed this summer but I think it got a lot better. I made so many new friends, I started experiencing what being happy feels like and all thanks to that one photoshoot. All thanks to Bryant. I guess I forgot to mention on Thanksgiving that I was thankful for Bryant and also for Sammy because he looked at my twitter and came to my photoshoot. That all changed my life.
