Angel(s) in Disguise (MikaYuu)

CH 36

Third person point of view:

   "I just don't want you to get hurt." Mikael admits, looking down. He bites his bottom lip constantly, not wanting to spill things that shouldn't be spilled to Yuuichiro. Mikael doesn't wish to hurt the raven. And Yuuichiro won't get hurt under his watch.

   Yuuichiro blinks cluelessly at the blonde who is looking down. Is that it? Could it be that months of stalking Yuuichiro had made Mikael feel some sort of connection that makes him wants to protect Yuuichiro?

   The raven sighs softly, smiling. Mikael is being so sweet right now, it makes him feel moved. His anxiety washes away when he finds out that the blonde is just worried of him.

   "I will be fine. Don't waste your time constantly being worried of me, you are not required, nor obligated to do that." Yuuichiro says. He pries Mikael's hand off his face gently before stroking the skin using his thumb appreciatively.

   The blonde silently frowns when Yuuichiro seems to brush off his advise. Yuuichiro is oblivious of the fact that Mikael's fret is very much needed. That leaves the blonde no other choice, but to stay as long as he need so he can protect Yuuichiro.

   "Sure, okay." Mikael says, retreating his hands away from Yuuichiro's affectionate, comforting touch. The raven's smile seems to fall off a bit. "Did i make you mad now?" Yuuichiro asks timidly when Mikael moves away from him.

   "No, i am just keeping my distance." Mikael states, making the raven feels tempted to ask 'why?'. Again, the blonde beats him before he can ask anything.

  "Yuuchan. You actually likes Mikaela, right? Romantically. You are not just having a mere crush on him." Mikael suddenly asks him. Yuuichiro's cheeks warm, but he doesn't think he can even lie to Mikael. "Is it really that obvious?" He asks quietly, averting his gaze.

   "It is written all over you. Not just your face, but your actions as well." Mikael tells, making the raven even more embarrassed than he already is. He shouldn't have asked that, now he is nearly drowning in shame as the consequences. But the damage is done, so perhaps things can't get worse. And because of that, he asks, "How so?"

    Mikael doesn't seems to have problems answering him too, without being forward telling Yuuichiro that the blonde has been observing him quite a lot. Which isn't so surprising, as Yuuichiro knows that Mikael was his stalker.

   "You are bold, brave except with ghosts, and confident. Love changes that in you. Never in a thousand year have i expected that you will be flustered, or bashful. But here you are." Mikael explains himself, making Yuuichiro chuckles.

   "Are you disappointed?" Yuuichiro playfully asks, which Mikael answers with shaking is head. He is indeed not a tad bit disappointed. Instead, Mikael finds it fascinating. Adorable, even.

   "I thought you already know that i like Mikaela, since you keep telling me that i have a 'stupid crush' on him." The raven mumbles, but since they are quite close to each other, Mikael heard him.

   "I know you had a crush on him, but i am not sure if you love him. So i asked, just to make sure." Mikael says, and Yuuichiro becomes flustered. "I don't love him!" The raven shouts bashfully, and Mikael roll his eyes.

   "Sure, keep telling yourself that. Maybe the feeling will vanish that way." Mikael spats. "Now, are you going to chill in my room again?" The blonde asks, taking Yuuichiro aback.

   He is quiet for a while, but then he asks Mikael hesitantly, "Are you sure that you aren't mad at me?" Yuuichiro questions. Mikael sighs, before answering him. "No i am not, Yuuchan." The blonde says frustratedly. Isn't Yuuichiro tired of asking the same question all over?

    "Then why are you kicking me out of here? Why can't i stay? " The raven inquires, also frustrated with Mikael. "See, Yuuchan? You are attached. You need to control that." The blonde points out, making Yuuichiro grunts.

   "You are saying it like you are going to hurt me. I know you are not going to, so what's the deal here?!" The raven voices out his frustrations, and Mikael scoffs.

  "You never know. What about your friends? You used to believe that they won't hurt you. They have known you for years, Yuuchan. Now look what happened." The blonde says, and Yuuichiro let's out an annoyed 'tch'.

   "Fine. I'll leave, since you want it so bad." The raven says before walking away. Before closing the door, he childishly sticks his tongue out at the blonde. And then, the door slams shut.

   Mikael exhales softly. The truth is, he doesn't intend to kick Yuuichiro out of his room or anything. He just needs a moment to breath for himself. Yuuichiro doesn't need to know that Mikael actually have feelings for him, especially after the blonde confirmed that the raven loves Mikaela, his host.

   God knows how bad it hurts when he sees Yuuichiro's reaction when he asks that one particular question. He acted like it doesn't faze or bother him, but in fact, it does. Of course it does, what do you think Mikael had stalked Yuuichiro for?

   No reason, he will answer. No reason anyone need to know. Mikael might believes in love at first sight. Why? Because it had happened to him. The first time he laid his eyes on Yuuichiro inside Mikaela's room back then, his heart had beat incredibly fast. It's very new to him, he had never felt such thing before.

   He had accidentally appeared creepy to Yuuichiro, because he finds the raven's terrified demeanor cute. But after all that happened, he decided that he likes Yuuichiro's smile much more. It's simply adorable, and he wants to be able to keep seeing it.

   To achieve that, Mikael has to keep protecting Yuuichiro. He doesn't want anyone to hurt Yuuichiro, so the raven can keep smiling. Mikael, out of all people, knows that Yuuichiro despises being alone. And for that sole reason, Mikael accompanied him.

   Even though they never actually talked before, Mikael doesn't care. He doesn't want Yuuichiro to feel lonely. He had hoped that his presence alone can help Yuuichiro feel less alone.

   Mikael doesn't trust anyone with Yuuichiro. Not his so called friends, Mikaela, and not even the child Mika. But he has to believe in Mikaela, for once if he wants to feel at peace and not worrying over the raven.

   He wants to keep his distance from Yuuichiro. He doesn't want to fall harder for the raven when the one Yuuichiro loves is not exactly him. And that is more reason for Mikael to dislike Mikaela.

   Then again, there is nothing he can do. He is just a mere parasite living in Mikaela, someone who doesn't even exist in the first place. Mikael can hardly believe that one fact, but he knows that it's the truth considering that he doesn't own a name.
