Angel(s) in Disguise (MikaYuu)

CH 44

Third person point of view:

   "Huh?" Is all Mikaela can muster after waking up to Yuuichiro cuddling him close. His head feels empty, blank and disoriented to the gesture.

   "Good morning." Yuuichiro murmurs, not moving or pulling away as he is very much comfortable with their position. Mikaela bites the inside of his lower lip, before smiling ever so lightly. He doesn't want to make it awkward, and in fact, Yuuichiro hugging him doesn't feel bad at all. The radiating heat their body produce contrast the chilly morning air, and if anything, Mikaela doesn't want to get up considering how content he feels.

   The blonde mindlessly moved his hand that is behind Yuuichiro's back, fingers tracing random lines and shapes as he hums shortly. "How did we end up like this? Who is the one that provoked this?" Mikaela questions, quite curious. When Yuuichiro lightly blushes, he gets even more confused.

   "Months of stalking experiences, and yet you still fail to find out if i am exactly asleep." Yuuichiro had said, and he was aware of how Mikael's body visibly tensed inside his arms. The blonde couldn't think of an answer, so he just shut up.

  "What are you afraid of?" Yuuichiro questioned as he buried his face into Mikael's shoulder, inhaling the blonde's scent softly. He tried to peek and see Mikael's expression, but didn't managed to when Mikael turned his head away from his view.

   Everything was motionless for a while, until Mikael decided that it is time for him to try breaking free again. "Mikael, stop. I am not letting you go, we are over this." Yuuichiro deadpanned. He felt how Mikael's body shrunk just a little, notifying the raven that Mikael was sighing.

   "What do you want?" The blonde finally spoke, tone flat and tired. Mikael was back facing him, and that was a little troubling as Yuuichiro couldn't see his face. He wanted to know what Mikael was thinking. And see what kind of face he was making.

   Yuuichiro didn't answer him. Instead, he said, "I want to make a confession. If i admit that i am attached to you, will you stop pushing me away?" Mikael was quiet for a short while, before he retorted. "No promises." The blonde truthfully said.

   "Fuck that. I am attached to you. I want to keep you close. Now what will you do?" Yuuichiro admitted, before asking Mikael the question that had been bothering him. "I don't know." Mikael breathed out.

   "Promise me you won't run away from me again, and i promise i will never mention about the kiss." Yuuichiro muttered. Mikael probably hated the kiss. He looked terrified when he pulled away, and it didn't go unnoticed by Yuuichiro.

   "I promise." Mikael had answered almost instantly, and it confirmed Yuuichiro's suspicion. Mikael hated the kiss, indeed. Even so, he exhaled in relief. At last, Mikael promised that he won't run away from him. That is enough for Yuuichiro, at least, for now.

  "Come on, face this way. Aren't you trying to comfort me just now? You are wounding me up." The raven claimed, and just then, Mikael turned over to face him. He have got this one, regretful face, if Yuuichiro didn't read it wrong. And that made the raven frowned deeply.

   "I'm sorry. Have i said something wrong?" Yuuichiro asked with concern. He wondered if Mikael really didn't want to be there, near him and inside his arms. Little did he knows, that's where Mikael wanted to be most. The fact that saddened the blonde was that,

The place wasn't meant for him.

   "No. Don't apologize." Mikael said. He hugged Yuuichiro tightly. Yuuichiro shouldn't feel sorry for liking someone else, and Mikael is determined with that mindset. "I'll keep you company. Just sleep, okay?" The blonde says persuasively, which Yuuichiro responded with a hum.

   "Thank you." The raven mumbles, making Mikael scoff lightly though not because of annoyance. "You should have listened to me." The blonde stated, and Yuuichiro could only retort with a smile Mikael could not see. "I guess i never learn after all." The raven had said.

    And that was the last thing he uttered, before they stop talking and slowly fall asleep.

   "Yuuchan?" Mikaela calls out, and Yuuichiro snaps from his trance. "Oh, sorry. I zoned out." The raven sheepishly apologies which Mikaela shakes his head to. "You are always zoning out. I wonder what is running across that head of yours. But really, who is it?" The blonde urges.

   "It's Mikael." Yuuichiro mutters, a little embarrassed. Mikaela lets out one sound of recognition before asking, "Why?"

   When the question is brought up, Yuuichiro's expression changes. The air suddenly feels gloomy, and the blonde blinks dumbly. "Don't wanna talk about it." The raven deadpans.

   "I see. That's alright, Yuuchan." Mikaela retorts, and it's serene for a while. Mikaela still drawing nothings on Yuuichiro's back using his index finger. But then, the raven perks up.

   "Hey Mika. Let's date." The blonde's movement stops in a halt, before looking down to meet Yuuichiro's eyes. His cheeks feel warm. "I- You have not confessed-?" Mikaela splutters in confusion. Yuuichiro is really something, one moment ago he was sad and now he is asking Mikaela on a date?

   "Oh, really? I thought you knew already. Okay then. I like you. Will you go on a date with me?" Yuuichiro says. True, considering the fact that Mikael and Mika knew that Yuuichiro had a crush on Mikaela, the raven had thought Mikaela had found out too. Apparently, Mikaela is a bit clueless.

   Another moment of silence, before Mikaela chuckles lightly. "Damn, you are so.. bold. Okay then, Yuuchan. I will be your boyfriend. So don't you dare cheat on me." The blonde claims, and Yuuichiro laughs in response.

   "If anything, i have got a feeling that you'll be the one who might cheat on me." The raven opines, Mikaela frowning. "I will not." The blonde retorts, making Yuuichiro raise his hand and pats Mikaela's fluffy bed hair.

   "Of course, i am just kidding. By the way, i cuddled with Mikael. Does that bother you?" He questions Mikaela. The blonde thinks for a short while before shaking his head.

  Even when Yuuichiro is cuddling with Mikael, the raven is hugging his body. So it doesn't matter to him. "I don't mind. After all, i am the one you like most, right?" Mikaela inquires jokingly, but what Yuuichiro answer is not what he expected.

  "Not exactly." The raven says, which makes Mikaela frowns. "I like you all equally." Yuuichiro states, and Mikaela huffs at him. "I have only been your boyfriend for like three minutes, but you already cheated on me with Mikael and Mika? Yuuchan, what the hell. That isn't something that is acceptable in a relationship. I am not into polygamy, i don't want to share."

   "Too bad, Mika. Too bad." Yuuichiro utters before laughing. When Mikaela's frown falls deeper, he kisses  the blonde's nose. "So, let's go on a date?" Yuuichiro inquires, and Mikaela raises an eyebrow. "Now?" He questions, and Yuuichiro nods enthusiastically.

   "I don't think that would work, Yuuchan." Mikaela verbalizes sadly, while Yuuichiro makes a noise akin to a whine. "Why not?" The raven questions.

   "Because we are so very late for our lecture." Mikaela says, gesturing the clock against the wall. Yuuichiro turns his gaze at it, and his eyes widen. "Fuck." He curses.
