Angel(s) in Disguise (MikaYuu)

CH 37

Third person point of view:

   "Jerk. Asshole. Burn in hell." Yuuichiro grumbles under his breath, totally not satisfied with how Mikael had acted towards him. Yuuichiro is attached, Mikael had said. So what? Fuck it, why does that even matter? All he wants is a little company, his house is getting eerily silent again and he doesn't miss it one bit.

   He never realize how much he craves human interaction and presence until Mikaela and his personas decided to live with him. Mikaela and Mika is cool, they have no problem chatting and hanging out with him. But Mikael? He is being such an ass. But of course, no matter how much and how bad Yuuichiro cursed Mikael, he never truly meant it.

   To show his irritation, the raven, too starts to ignore Mikael. Perhaps that way, the blonde will be the one to reach out for him. Nope, Mikael will find closure first when that happens, one way or another.

   Yuuichiro knows that he is being childish. Does he cares? The answer is obviously no, or else he would have moved on and act like a grown up. He doesn't want to be a an adult, they are boring. He would rather be himself, and act any way he pleases.

And that's why, the plan must carry out.

    It will take more time than what he expected, that is for sure since Mikael won't be around every single day. But that is alright, the raven is willing to do whatever the hell it takes.

   The next day comes, and Yuuichiro is expecting Mikaela. But surprisingly enough, it's Mika who wakes up. Either way, Yuuichiro doesn't mind but he still wonders what is it that cause change in their controlling supposed to be schedule.

   "Yuuchan!" Mika greets him right after seeing him the next morning. The raven involuntarily blushes, but quickly shakes it off. "Morning." He retorts to the blonde, smiling softly. Yuuichiro just gets out of his room at the time, and the blonde appears behind his own bedroom door a few seconds later.

    "Have you, uhh, cook breakfast? I can help if you haven't." Yuuichiro awkwardly asks. His obliviousness makes Mika tilts his head. "I can't cook, Yuuchan." Mika informs him, and the raven face palms at the sudden realization.

   "Ah, i see. The waking up thing changed again, huh Mika? That's alright. Come on, you can watch me cook or just read something first." Yuuichiro says, making Mika nods happily.

   And that's how their morning starts, Yuuichiro making pancakes for the both of them and Mika reading his beloved Harry Potter book. Mika sometimes chats with him about the book, and it surely has its own perks.

Yuuichiro knows certain thing about the story like how Mrs. Dursley told Dudley, Harry's cousin that he looked like a baby angel while Harry, on the other hand, thought Dudley looked like a pig in a wig.

   Their breakfast is rather uneventful, except for parts where Mika complains that he doesn't like how Voldermort dies in the Harry Potter movie. The blonde believes that Voldermort should get a normal mundane death instead of decaying into ashes and disappears into thin air, or so Mika said.

At this point Yuuichiro feels obligated to at least watch the movie since he knew too much spoilers already, thanks to Mika.

    And so that's what they do that day, binge watching Harry Potter until the time to head to university comes. For the better or worse, the raven doesn't know as both Yuuichiro and Mika had evening class that day.

    When the time comes, they walk together to class and in the mean time, Yuuichiro remembers something. "Mika. What do you mean when you said that there is not much left in Mikaela when Mikael appears?"  The raven inquires. The question has always been in the back of his mind, but when he recalls it, Mika is not the one in charge.

Yuuichiro will remember about the matter everytime he is thinking of Mikaela, often when the male is with him.

  "Oh?" Mika audibly lets out as he eyes the raven who is walking side by side with him. "I thought you forgot about it already." The blonde pinpoints absentmindedly.

   "Well, i still remember. So, are you going to answer or tell me that you've been bluffing at the time?" Yuuichiro questions sternly, making the blonde pouts. He assumes that Yuuichiro knew he cheated while they played games together, and that makes him feel sorry for himself that he got caught. But when he remembers the question thrown upon him again, he has to ask Yuuichiro about something.

   "You like Mikaela, don't you? Like, like like." The blonde inquires rather uniquely, but Yuuichiro still understands it nonetheless. The raven wonders if he is really that obvious, since even Mika seems to notice it.

   "I-I told you that we are nothing before!" The raven protests, but Mika only smiles teasingly. "Before." Mika highlighted for him, chirping.

   "Just tell me what you meant!" The raven bashfully says, not wanting to speak about the matter any second longer. Mika hums a long hum.

   "That's the problem, Yuuchan. You like Mikaela. I'm not sure if you want to actually know about this." Mika informs. Well, it is not helping even a little bit. The blonde's statement only makes Yuuichiro wants to know about it more.

   "It's okay, just tell me." Yuuichiro urges. It can't be that bad, can it? No life is risked by a simple question anyway. Hearing this, Mika takes a deep breath and mutter a small 'okay' before starting to talk.

   "I just hope this doesn't change your feelings toward Mikaela. So, what i am going to tell you at the time is that, Mikaela doesn't have much personality traits. Don't you realize that he imitates people a lot, quoting what you have said?" The blonde asks, eyes glinting with something Yuuichiro can't quite express or explain.

   Yes, Yuuichiro remember times when Mikaela quoted him, and he kind of realize that Mikaela does act like him, or even Mikael. Mikaela has been flirting with him like Mikael did, when beforehand he had never bothered to think about it.

   "I can't quite understand, why is Mikaela imitating people? Why doesn't he has much personality traits after Mikael appears?" Yuuichiro inquires accordingly, and Mika flashes him a cheshire smile.

   "Isn't it obvious?" Mika mutters in a steady voice. "I presume that Mikael had taken almost everything that is left inside of him after i appeared. The doctor said that i took Mikaela's childhood memories. So it is logical for Mikael to take some of his personality traits. And so in other words..." Mika trails, and Yuuichiro silently gulps for what to come.

  "Mikaela is just an empty shell now. He survives barely on imitating people and things around him, and he doesn't exactly knows how to react when something he never experience, well, happens." The blonde explains to Yuuichiro. Honestly, it is a little too much for the raven to process, but he pays it no mind and ask more.

He needs to know more.

  "Why does he needs to imitate? Can't he just acts normally with everything that is left? You said most, and not all of his personality had been taken away." Yuuichiro reasons, but Mika just shrugs.

   "I don't know about that. I may be him, i know how he usually thinks like. But i am still from the past, Yuuchan. I don't know what he is thinking now." Mika claims, but then he gives Yuuichiro a small smirk.

   "Could it be that, Mikaela is in love?" Mika drops a wild guess, making Yuuichiro's heart thumps a little harder.

Is Mikaela.. In love with him?
