My Forever Hope

Chapter 6

Usually at night I sleep well I have never had issues with sleeping since Tom adopted me but tonight was different tonight my dreams were torture.

*Dream*

"Y/n we're are you" said my mom knowing I didn't make her dinner on time

"Y/n I know your here you little bitch come out and make me food"

"No leave me alone!"

She barged into my room seeing me trying to climb out of my window she grabbed me and started screaming at me telling me how useless I am and how I should be dead.  She started throwing things at me and then started shaking me.

That's when I woke up by Tom shaking me

"Y/n darling what's wrong you were screaming something about leave me alone what happened?!"

"My mom she oh my god dad she tried to hurt me"

"Darling it's ok your safe now no one is going to hurt you"

I didn't have enough energy to talk I just stayed with Tom for the rest of the night not going to sleep.  Tom eventually fell asleep but I couldn't. I decided I would clean downstairs so it would help me get my mind off of my dream.

Walking downstairs trying not to make to much noise I decided I would start with the kitchen.  Cleaning the counters and the fridge throwing food out that we don't need or is old.

After cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, living room and the study room it was already 5 in the morning Tom would be waking up soon so I decided to just start making breakfast for us.

I started making some eggs and bacon when I heard Tom walking down the stairs.

"Good morning darling how did you sleep"

"Um fine how about you"

"Darling what's wrong did you go back to bed last night?"

"No I stayed up and cleaned the downstairs and cleaned out the fridge and stuff so I could distract myself "

"Darling you didn't need to do that but thank you"

"Welcome now come eat I made us breakfast some eggs and bacon along with some fruit and some Earl grey tea"

"Wow this all smells and looks great"

"Thanks now let's eat before school"

"You got it eheheh"

After breakfast both me and Tom got ready for the day and headed out once we were done.  The drive to the school didn't take long so we usually just put on music until we got to the school.

Today felt different felt like something was wrong I felt like I was being watched but I didn't see anyone.

"Hey dad"

"Yes Y/n?"

"Somethings wrong I feel like I'm being watched"

"What do you mean watched darling?"

"Like someone is watching me but I don't know who it is I'm worried"

"Hey you will be ok sweetheart just stay guard in your classes today I will text you throughout the day to make sure your doing ok"

"Thanks dad I will see you later love you"

"Love you too sweetheart"

...

As the day went on that strange feeling never left if anything It was getting worse to the point I felt like I was in danger I get texts from Tom throughout the day to make sure I was alright I told him yes because I didn't want to worry him but the truth was I wasn't alright I didn't feel safe in the school anymore.

"Excuse Mrs pat may I use the restroom"

"Of course"

I walked to the restroom but as I was walking I felt someone grab my arm and pull me into a room.

"You little shit you think you could have escaped me that easily"

"M-mom!"

"Yes now your going to come with me you she no right to be here anymore you ruined my life you little shit"

"I ruined your life no you ruined mine you beat me hurt me and screwed me over"

I wasn't able to talk anymore because I feel a sharp sting agains my face she fucking slapped me

"You stupid excuse for a child you have no right to be happy"

"YES I FUCKING DO YOU CUNT!"

All of the sudden I felt a sharp sting in my side I looked down and saw she stabbed me I was bleeding everywhere.  After she stabbed me I started screaming and eventually she covered my mouth but I heard someone on the outside of the door and that person sounded familiar.

"Y/N!"

The door swung open and I saw Tom and the school security guards at the door.  Tom rushed over to me and held my side where she stabbed my trying to stop the bleeding while the security guards took my mother away.

"Come on Y/n stay with me please"

"Hey It's gonna be alright"

"The ambulance is on its way sweetheart ok just hold on for me"

"I think i'm going to close my eyes"

"No no darling keep the open please"

I couldn't hear the rest of what Tom said because i blacked out.

"NO NO NO Y/N please wake up"

...

I woke up in a room with bright lights I heard beeping next to me and felt someone squeeze my hand.  I realized I was in the hospital.

"D-Dad?"

"Oh thank god Y/n are you ok how are you feeling"

"My side really hurts"

"I know darling but it's going to be alright"

As I looked closer I saw Toms eyes were bloodshot red he had been crying.

"Dad have you been crying"

"Yes I was so worried when you blacked out I thought I l-lost you"

"I'm ok dad I promise come here"

He stood up and laid on the side of the bed were I wasn't injured on

"Thank you for saving me"

"I told you I will always protect you no matter what"

"Dad"

"Yes darling"

"She could have killed you"

"But she didn't and don't worry about me worry about you"

"i'll try no promises haha"

"Silly girl you need to be careful when you laugh or the stitches will fall out"

"Ok dad I am going to sleep my body is so tired"

"You can sleep darling I will be here when you wake up"

"Love you dad"

"Love you too darling"

Tom missed my head and I fell asleep with him holding me.
