My Forever Hope

Chapter 12

It has been a couple hours since the power has gone out the blizzard has died down a little bit but not by much, luckily we have enough food and water to last us a while along with enough wood to keep us warm.

As I sat close to tom to keep warm I looked out of the window and noticed the blizzard was starting to die down some and I decided now I could maybe try to sleep because I wont be so worried about getting snowed in or worse something happening to Tom knowing he is safe next to me.

"Darling if your tired do you want me to bring out the beds so we can sleep out here?"

"No its ok dad I can sleep on the floor I will have no problem"

"You sure darling"

"Yes its ok dad"

With that me and dad laid closer to the fire and fell asleep for the night.

I woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs so I got up and walked into the kitchen were I saw Tom cooking breakfast.

"Morning Dad did the more come back on?"

"Ya this morning workers stopped by saying they fixed everything and were good to go"

"Yay does that mean we can go out for a walk today"

"Yes we can"

Me and Tom ate breakfast we got ready for the day and started to go for a walk in the forest .  We kept walking towards a little area.

I started to run up the hill we were hiking up and when I made it to the top i saw the entire forest it was beautiful.

"Isn't it beautiful" 

I looked over at Tom and he had the biggest smile on his face.

"It really is thank you for taking me out here Dad it means a lot to me to be able to finally relax without worrying about my past and when I can finally focus on my present with you"

"Your welcome Y/n your my daughter and you deserve all of this after everything you have been through you definitely deserve this"

"Thank you dad I love you"

"I love you too darling"

...

We continued to walk and hike and everything was going fine until I ended up twisting my foot because of a hole in the ground under all the snow.
