"Peace out." I slammed my door shut. Walking over to my window I popped open the latch and lifted it up. A grin was back on my face. If they want to make me that mad, they can deal with the consequences. I hopped onto the ledge, ducking so I didn't hit my head.
"Dania." There was a knock on my door. "Axel wants to apologize!" It was Colby.
"I'll come out later," I shouted then jumped onto the closest tree. "Umph." I grabbed it fine and dropped to the ground. It's been a long time since I gave my wolf-form a stretch. Reaching up I flexed my back and slowly my bones began to crack, and then I was on all fours.
Looking back at the house I made eye contact with someone through the window. My eyes widen as I met Liekos' similar wide eyes. He looked somewhere else in the room, his eyes still as large as dish plates. Then he made eye contact with me. 'They are calling for you.' Mouthing those words he points with one finger under the desk towards the other side of the room. Definitely referring to my brothers. Those boneheads.
I rolled my eyes and I saw him huff out a silent laugh. 'Want company?' He stood from where he was seating. I sat, then nudged my fuzzy head towards the forest. He can come if he wants. If work will allow it. Now that I think about it, this is my last few weeks of freedom before I become a Luna.
I reached the forest entrance and waited in the tree line to see if Liekos will come with me. Soon enough there was a black wolf approaching me with a grin on his lips. He looked like a show in the trees. It was stunning.
He caught up and licked my cheek which made me jump away. He look as if he was laughing. With a nudge of my big head, we started running. I've been running around in these backwoods for years, there was little I didn't know about them.
There were just trees and trees for miles. Watching the leaves from pine back to oak leaves and back again. The summer weather was absolutely beautiful. We kept running until we somehow got to town.
My pace slowed as right before we entered the town and I laid flopped down onto my back. My breath was heavy as I tried to gulp down air. Soon I saw two bright yellow eyes looking down at me. My eyes trailed down to see Liekos' smile.
I shifted back into my human form, watching my chest rise and fall as the sun warmed my body. "Are you sure you are allowed to be with me right now?" I glanced over to see Liekos sitting next to me, his black fur now tanned hands.
"No." He confessed honestly, "but I'll deal with the consequences later." I was ashamed to admit how comforting those words were. Then there was silence, just the wind blowing the leaves in the trees. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine. I feel bad for being a bit over-dramatic," I sighed at the truth.
"I thought it was cute."
"Me throwing a tantrum?" I raised a brow at that.
"I mean, I would be upset." He leaned his head on the palm of his hand, hiding a smirk.
"You are making fun of me." I narrowed my eyes playfully.
"Only a little bit." He was outwardly chuckling now. Then he leaned over and picked up a little flower, I didn't know what it was called, up from the ground. He placed it on my stomach. "For you." He said sheepishly.
I reached out and grabbed the tiny little purple flower holding it up above me, "it's pretty." I glanced over to see an embarrassed mate. His cheeks were red and he was looking away from me. "What's with that look."
