Oh, yikes. "I'm so sorry." I reached out and grabbed my mates hand, giving it a squeeze. No wonder he loved my family, he didn't have one of his own. I knew his dad had died, but wow, everyone was gone. He smiled weakly.

"There is nothing for you to be sorry for." He raised my hands to his lips and kissed them softly. "You didn't do anything wrong."

"I'm sorry for asking." I frowned as he patted my hand with his own. He couldn't look me in the eyes.

"Don't be." He looked up. "I should be sorry." He frowned, "I can't supply you with proper inlaws." My mouth dropped to the floor. That's what he was worried about? Then there was a knock on the door. Li looked at me as if to see if I was okay with these people coming in. "Who is it?" He shouted at the door.

"It's Tullen." The person at the door spoke. I nodded my head to Li and I watched him tuck my hand underneath the blanket, before standing to get the door. He put his hand on the handle before pulling it towards him.

Soon the redheaded Tullen was in our line of sight. "Good morning, Alpha, Luna," He bowed his head to both of us. My eyebrows raised sky-high. Last time I checked I wasn't a Luna. Yet. Li crossed his arms in wait.

"I'm here with paperwork!" He cheered with a smile, raising it to his face. I saw Li roll his eyes.

"And we should be excited?" I asked turning my body more to face him.

"Oh, gods no." Tullen handed the paperwork to Li, who tucked it under his arm.

"Is that all?" Awe, Li, be nicer to your Beta.

"You have a meeting at noon with," Tullen looked over to me, "her Alpha and Tre, her brother, is coming with." Li nodded before turning his back to him and sitting down in the seat beside my bed.

"Alright, I'll see you at noon then." Ouch, poor Tullen, that was a harsh dismissal. I gave him a smiled and he waved before walking towards the door.

Before closing the door behind him Tullen smiled, "its good to see you, here, in this pack." Then he shut the door behind him.

"Don't listen to him," Li said cutting the papers in half, setting one pile on the counter beside him. "You can come and stay when you want," he glanced up. "But you have other plans at the moment if I remember correctly, don't you." He glanced back down at the papers.

I almost broke down crying there. I was going to become the doctor I dreamed of being. But who says I couldn't do both. "Hey, pass me a few." I held out a hand. He gave me a quizzical look. "What? My leg is hurt, not my eyes."

He chuckled before handing me the pile that was left off to the side. "This is the report written up from last night." He held up his papers, "this is your brother's perspective on it."

"Which one?" I had seven brothers.

"Dylan Willino." Then he pointed to the papers in my hand. "That's Tullen's perspective." What was so important about these people's perspectives? Why wasn't it Tre or Li writing it? They were the people in charge.

And so I began reading. Tullen had about five pages of writing while Dylan seemed to have over ten. Man, that writing major was really coming to use for him. I shook my head, focusing on Tullen again. But I couldn't help a frown overcome my lips. I felt so bad for Dylan, he had to stop being a writer for this war.
