Dania

Anthony never stopped thanking me because we were on our way home in twenty minutes. I never understood why boys panicked at the thought of someone's period. I couldn't help myself from inwardly chuckling because I wasn't even on it.

"How are you feeling, Dania?" Colby asked from behind me. We had shifted for the walk back.

"Oh, the cramps are so painful. We need to hurry." I almost chuckled at the end of the sentence but I withheld. I looked up at the beautiful pine trees glistening in the light of the orange sunset. We were right on the border of Li's pack and our own. This is known as the dead zone, where it has no set ownership. Which means it's safe for packs to travel through here without pissing off any certain pack.

The sun was almost all the way set when a wretched smell invaded our noses. It smelled like rotten fish and I couldn't stop myself from scrunching up my nose. I stopped my legs stiffening. In a second I was under Dylan who was growling above me.

"What's up?" Axel said from somewhere behind us. "What's the holdup?" I kept my eyes at the tree line. Not bothering to respond. I knew Dylan would do it in a second. I just needed to find them. I couldn't see them yet.

"Rogues." Dylan let out another loud growl. This triggered a domino effect because all of us growled.

Rogues were dangerous wolves who had no connection to any packs. So they don't follow any pack rules. They are known for being ruthless savages who have no morals and no rules. All of a sudden a shaggy wolf broke the tree line and was in our view. Then two more followed him.

There were two more? I felt myself break out in a cold sweat. Rogues don't travel in packs. I looked up at Dylan who was giving the rogues the stare down.

"Dania." I almost jumped when I heard my name. It was Tre from behind us. "I'm going to need you to run home and get help we are surrounded."

"What?!" I screamed back. "I'm not leaving you guys," I growled back at them. Like hell, I would allow them to fight without me. If we go down. We go down together. I'm sure I'd be more help here than away.

"You are the fastest one out of all of us. You need to go get help." Tre ordered and I felt Dylan move, allowing me to run. "This is not an option." How was he so calm at this moment?

"What about you guys? What if you get hurt?" I moved to look around. The rogues were moving closer.

"The faster you get help. The larger the chances we don't get hurt. So start moving. Now." He ordered and that's exactly what I did.

"I'll be back. I'll be back soon." I felt like I was abandoning my brothers. My heart hurt. I didn't want to do this.

"Clear her a path!" Yee shouted and all at once, they moved. Everyone in our small pack started howling for help and that's when the rogues attacked. I almost got chomped several times but I broke out with no scratches. I started making a mad dash towards our pack which is still a long way away. I was howling SOS the entire way.

After a while of running, I heard a sound I didn't want to hear behind men I looked back to see two rogues were on my tail. The adrenaline from the chase pumped through my blood. I wasn't mad they were following me because that means two rogues that weren't attacking my brothers.

I jumped over logs. I didn't really know where I was. But I knew if I kept following this trail I'd make it home. Then all of a sudden another Rogue jumped out from the side. Tackling me to the ground. He tore a chunk out of my leg and I let out a blood-curdling howl.
