Dania

I almost fell out of my bed. I knew it was the same for Tre because he lurched forward from where he was standing. "What?" Tre gasped out. "Why the hell would you think that?"

Li stood and pushed in his chair from where he was sitting. "I don't know. But look at your family." He splayed a hand out to us. "Attacked by rogues on the way home from camping. The entire next generation of the Willino family."

"That could have just been a coincidence, rogues are known for being frisky like that," I said holding out a hand. Poison is a huge claim and one that I really wished to not be true.

"Alright, say they weren't going after the entire Willino family." He shrugged, leaning on the desk behind him. "What if they are just going after the Alpha's family." There was a pause in his words. Tre and I just sat there quietly gobbling up every word. "My father, the last remaining person of my family member died in a rogue attack, protecting me. I would have died too if it wasn't for Tullen's father."

"Tre Willino, last night, do you remember the majority of the rogues chasing down Dania as she went to find help?" Tre nodded his head, taking a few steps closer to me, before resting a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, I remember, there were seven after her."

"Hold on, I only remember two initial ones, before one came out of the woodwork to attack me," I said with wide eyes. Tre looked at me with a frown.

"We stopped most of them," he squeezes my shoulder. "Anyways, keep going." He signaled to Li.

"So," Li crossed his arms leaning on the table. "Could it be she was attacked due to her being my mate?"

"It's possible." Tre looked down at me with a worried expression, before looking back up at Li. "We can't be sure. We have no evidence."

Li shrugged, "that's what I'm just assuming after everything that has gone down recently." He looked me dead in the eyes. "I want Dania to stay here. I will protect her. She isn't safe at your pack."

Tre growled, "no. She would be safest at our pack, surrounded by people that she trusts. She knows nobody here." Tre crossed his arms sizing Liekos up.

Li shook his head, "why can't you trust me." Li looked at me, "mate, where would you like to stay. With me or with your brothers."

Easy. Brothers. But... I frowned looking down at my hands in my lap. It's not like I want to leave my mate. Ugh at moments like this, I just want someone to choose for me because I am okay with both outcomes. "Felix needs me at home," I said looking up at Li. "I hope you can understand," I said with a deep frown.

Li frowned before looking at Tre. "You heard her answer. She will go with you." I didn't like my mate being displeased with me.

"But- Li-" Li raised a hand to silence me.

"I understand." He's mad. But I get it, I didn't choose him when he was so adamant with me staying with him.

"We will be leaving then." Tre scooped me up into his arms. "Will you see us out?" Tre said it with a glare, which translates to: "show us out, salty son of a bitch."

"Yes, this way." He opened the door and watched up walk through it. The hallway was dark, due to the wallpapers being black. Their carpet was red while the tables were made of white marble. It was a very classy combination. It was clear that Liekos' pack was a very wealthy and prosperous one.
