Dania
--
"What?!" I shouted, making my mate flinch next to me. "We are moving in where?" Tre gave me a look and a nod.
"We are the heads of this pack now," He patted my head with a hand which was just bandaged up by me. "We will talk about it more later." He headed down the steps first.
"Better not question it, baby girl." Dylan smiled weakly at me. I let out a sigh and tugged Liekos down the steps behind them.
"You shouldn't worry about it too much, it's just a new house," we rounded the corner to see how messed up my childhood house had become. "This house isn't livable anymore." Liekos looked down at me with a sad frown.
I couldn't believe I was moving out, and so soon. I always had the mentality that I was born in this house and I would die in it. Giving a glance at Colby who had a dark expression on his face. Looks like he was thinking about the same thing. I let out another sigh, which made Liekos tuck me in closer to his side. "Don't worry it's going to be okay."
Those few words put my mind at ease just for a moment because sends later we were walking through the shattered glass door out onto the back porch. Liekos sucked in a breath before covering my eyes with his hand. "I don't think you should look."
"I'll be okay." I pushed away his hand and looked at the rogue chained to the ground. All of his limbs were tied together, which was tied to the tetherball pole that we used often. I don't think we will be using that much anymore.
"Finally." My mom stood up from where she was sitting next to the rogue. "I thought I was going to have to sit here all night." Mom was set in charge of the rogue? Well, actually that makes sense, she was the fastest in the pack, before I came along. The rogue wouldn't be able to escape her.
"Awe, babies, what are you guys doing out here?" She looked at Colby, Ralph, and me with a sad look. Mom had probably just realized that we are all grown up. I felt something warm be placed over my shoulders, reaching a hand up I felt a foreign fabric. It was Liekos' jacket, he had placed it on my shoulders.
"Mom, we have seen worse," Colby stated. We had seen worse in the last week actually. I was on the verge of death, Felix was on the verge of death, we killed what seemed to be a dozen rogues.
"Let's get this over with," Dad spoke up drawing all of our attention. We all looked down at his hands which held an old axe. "Rogue." The beast flinched at that, I felt a drizzle start to fall on us. "Any last words?"
He let out a growl and started shaking violently. "No!" He howled at us, making us all take a step back for safety.
"What's going on?" I said, startled, looking to mother for answers.
"He did this a few times." She didn't look at me and kept staring at the creature in front of us, her guard completely up. Foam flooded from his mouth and his eyes were trying to pop out of his head. Then the blood started to flow out of his nose. Liekos squeezed me tighter to him as if he sensed my growing fear. What was going on?
"Kill him!" Colby said, his voice also shaking with fear.
"No!" The monster roared again as if something has possessed him. This wasn't the Apha's kid that I knew. The thought alone sent chills down my body. I looked to Liekos who seemed to have a grim look on his face. He didn't look scared in the slightest, just concerned. I glanced to my brothers, all but Tre had fear gleaming in their eyes. Tre? Have you seen something like this before?
Blood was now flowing from his eyes, the whites of them completely filling up with blood. He lifted his wolfy head to the moon letting out another howl before collapsing to the ground. "Help." He moaned.
That was the most startling part of it all. That. That was the Alpha son's voice. Not the demotic howl that we had just heard. "Please kill me." His red eyes looked over to Tre. "Protect them... kill me." Then he let out a howl in rage again, the madness taking over once more.
Those words struck a chord in Tre and he shifted, cutting his head off with two slashes of his claws. The head lopped off to the side and all we could do was stare. The axe in Dad's hands went limp and clattered to the floor.
"What the hell was that?" Ralph was the first to put all of our thoughts into words.

We didn't know what to say, not in the slightest, so we had just retreated inside. Liekos ended up sleeping over saying he will help me pack in the morning. We slept on the couch together, his arms wrapped around me.
I looked at the old tv in the middle of the living room, not being able to get the rogue out of my head. He was terrifying, he was so normal one second, then... a chill shook my body.
"Dania." Liekos started to stroke my cheek with his thumb. "Go to sleep, we have a long day tomorrow."
"Hey, Li." I sat up and looked into his eyes. "Don't make fun of me..." My voice was now a whisper, trying not to wake up the rest of the house. "But I'm nervous." His hands moved from my face to the back of my head as he started to stroke my hair.
"You aren't alone," His pearly whites showed even in the darkness. "We are all nervous right now. Though, explain to me why you are nervous, angel." My stomach squeezed at the bet name. "Maybe I can help soothe your mind?"
"Didn't you think that was really weird? That break of character?" Another shiver rattled down my spine. "It was like something was controlling him."
"I don't think you are too far off." He sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "I need to hit the books in order to find out the meaning behind his actions." Then he looked back at me, a lopsided smile back on his face, "I'm not a big fan of reading."
"Let me help then. I'll read the books." His expression relaxed.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you. I must warn you, my pack's library is pretty dusty." I giggled at that.
"I don't think that will be too big of a deal." I laid my head back down on his chest. He moved his hands down to the curve in my back. His hands stroking up and down my spine.
A few words with my mate made me feel so much better. I had a job now, the future was back into my hands, and I can help change the outcome. Then another thing popped into my head, "He has a brother."
"The rogue?" I felt him shift under me. I guess that he was unaware. Then he let out a little gasp. "Oh, I remember him. He is your age right?" I nodded my head into his chest.
"We didn't get along well," I said honestly. Less than well if we put it to actual terms.
"No? Why?" I sighed at the thought.
"Well..." Where did I even begin?
"So, you know I'm the runt right?" This startled Liekos.
"You're what?" He gently moved my chin to make my eyes meet his. "But you're fast? What do you mean you are the runt?" He was confused.
"I was a still-born baby." I heard him suck in a breath. "Luckily they brought me back to life in the hospital room."
"Wow..." He said in shock. "I don't know what to say." He hugged me tighter to him. "To think that you could have died like that." He moved me up so that I was in the crook of his neck as he held me.
"I know right? Gave my parents I shock. Well, anyway, long story short, he always bullied me for it."
"He bullied you for being a still-born? What a bastard." He growled out, his chest vibrating. "If he really is a rogue, I can't wait to get my hands on him." Anger lacing every word. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Me too. He really was horrible." I snuggled closer to him, letting out a yawn.
"Are you tired now?" I nodded my head. I was now sleepy.
"Goodnight, angel."
"Goodnight."
