Chapter 16

Y/N'S POV

His words echoed in my head, and I didn't know if this was only my imagination, or did he really say that. His lips lingered close to my ear and I felt goosebumps rising on my skin. I was shocked, to say the least.

"What?" I question him, pulling away.
Eren held my hands in his and stared down, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"I don't have any more experience in relationships than you, but I promise I will make you happy." He looked up at me and smiled. My heart was feeling so warm, hearing him say that. I was going to accept of course, but I didn't really have the right words for it. So, instead of stumbling over sentences, I pull him in for a kiss. He smiled the second our lips came together, already knowing my answer.

We kissed some more, but eventually I had to pull away so we could get home. Tomorrow was my first day at work, so I had to get ready. Now it was already really late, but I start working at 8, so I will get some sleep at least.

We separated our ways in front of my apartment and said good night to each other. Eren tried to convince me that he can drive me to work, but I didn't want to be a bother to him. I said he should sleep well and eat a good breakfast, and then he can visit me if he feels like it.

As I get ready for bed and lay down on my sheets, I squeal.

~I can't believe it... Eren is my boyfriend...~ I spend some time smiling helplessly into my pillow and turning around, when I finally fell asleep.

6:45 AM

My alarm goes off and I groan. I try to turn it off with my telepathy, but that didn't work, obviously. I had to get up, since my phone was laying on the floor, far away from me. I probably threw it in my sleep - nothing new, really. It was so early, but I had to get going. I rub my eyes as I walked towards my bathroom. I got ready, and when I was done I locked my apartment and walked out of the building. Before that I called a taxi, so it was already waiting for me.

First day of work was not too hard, I got to know other workers here and learn some basics. They gave me their apron, which already had my name printed on it.

It was 2 o'clock before I knew it, so I went to our small dressing room and changed. I'm going to walk home and grab some street food, since I didn't have lunch. I called my mom to check in, but I didn't tell her about Eren. As I hang up on her, I got another call.

"Hey, babe" I blush as I still wasn't used to everything. Eren's voice on the other side made my heart beat a little faster.

"Hi, what's up?" I speak on the phone and sit down on the bench.

"Nothing much, did you have lunch? I would like to take my girl out for some food." I couldn't help but to smile widely as I played with my jacket.

"I would love that. Where do you want to meet?"

"I'll come and get you, the weather is kind of acting up, where are you?"

"At the park across my work."

"Be there in 10, see you" Eren says and we hang up. I look up at the sky, and it was cloudy. Although it was summer, there might be some rain. I was scrolling on my phone, and 10 minutes already passed 20 minutes ago. Eren was nowhere to be seen, he didn't even text me or anything. I was just about to press call when a loud thunder noise was heard. I flinch and drop my phone on the ground. Shit. All of a sudden, rain poured from the clouds so I quickly pick up my phone and run to the cafe, to get away from this weather. As I was unlocking the door of my workplace, a male voice caught my attention from behind.

"Excuse me, do you work here? I don't have an umbrella and I'm already wet from rain..." He said kind of shy. I open the door and let him in.

"My name is Jean, by the way."

EREN'S POV

I grab my car keys from the table to go and pick up Y/N. I wanted to take her out for a nice lunch, since she was officially my girlfriend now. I put on my jacket and say bye to Armin who was in his room. Just as I open the doors, I saw Judy standing there. Her eyes light up and I give her my confused look.

"Eren...Can I come in?" She took a step forward but I stop her.

"I'm heading somewhere, so I don't have the time." I was about to walk away from her, but she gripped my arm, making me look back at her.

"What the hell do you want?" I was starting to get frustrated, as I didn't want to be late.

"Please, I think you need some release from the game, hmm." Her hold on my arm got tighter, and her other hand was placed on my chest. I grab her wrist, and she flinched.

"Judy, I don't know if you simply don't get the hint, or are you stupid, but I'm not interested in you." She took her hand back and looked offended, but it didn't bother me.

"Wow.." She looked down and scoffed.

"I thought that you had better taste Eren, we were together after all."

"We were never together, and you know it." I squeeze my hand into a fist.

"But we were close weren't we? And then this girl just walks in, and you forget everything. How I was the one that was helping you with your problems." She tried to manipulate me into trusting her, but it won't work.

"Judy, I'm getting tired of always being nice to you." Trust me, if she wasn't a girl, I would throw a few punches long ago.

"What do you plan to do with Y/N? Date? Do you really think you are capable of doing that? And did you even see how she looks like? She is a damn female version of Shrek!" That was it, I felt my skin burn. I grab her wrists and give her my most famous 'I can kill you right here' eyes.

"Eren." A familiar voice opened the door wide. It was Armin, and he looked down to my hands holding Judy. I throw them away harshly and clench my jaw.

"Don't test me." Was the last thing I said before I walked away. I heard Armin saying something, but honestly, I couldn't care less. I just wanted to get to Y/N as fast as I can.

I get to my car, rain was pouring as hard as ever. She'll hate me after this. I drive to the park where she said she was, but I didn't see her. Then I look in the direction of the cafe, and thankfully, big glass windows allowed me to see her. I furrowed my eyebrows when I notice she wasn't alone. A male figure stood in front of her, and his back was facing me. She laughed at something he said and they both sat down on one of the tables. I rush out of my car, keeping my eyes on them.

I was running since it was raining really hard, and when I came close to the doors, I barged in. I was breathing heavily as Y/N and the man looked at me, both surprised at my sudden arrival.
