Mikan's Lyrical Poem

I'm sorry for not being near you.
It's obvious I'm afraid of rejection and being thrown away.
"How do you do?" Is something I wish to say.
But I can't cause it's been a while since we've talked in person.

The way you smile is just too precious.
But it's hard to see it through the crowd and darkness.
I guess you're doing fine
So it would be dumb of me to ask you if you're still mine.

I'm sorry for being too insecure.
I wouldn't be thinking this way if I were still pure.
"What are you thinking?" Is what I wish to ask you.
But it's so difficult to do.

I remember the times I wanted to stick with you.
But it's obvious I needed too cause I also wanted you to enjoy your time with others.
It's hard to ignore someone like you.
Wonder what you would say about what I drew.

I'm sorry for being so selfish.
I know I'm not being myself.
It's just that I need time for my studies.
Trust me, ignoring you is hard and tiring.
Because I would do anything to walk beside you again.

Seeing you so far away
Makes me glad to know you're still okay.
Still I can't help but hope to stand by you again.
