Thank God

Laughing and playing under the skies blue gleam
Is not enough to force your parents to beam.
Showing a picture to mama what you done in school
Makes her laugh and say it’s not cool.

The warmth and love you never had
Makes you jealous with bad.
Friends always try and cheer up your sad soul.
But it makes it harder to hold.

Your desire grows and grows reaching its limit.
The ghosts in your walls help you finish it.
The arguing in the living rom is no more.
The toxic air you’ve breathed in has drifted to the shore.
Sirens singing outside your home is heard.

Thank God for not letting them enter,
To see the masterpiece you’ve created of murder.
