"Hi, Steve."
She sniffed a little and took a deep breath. She sounded miserable.
"You heard all the fighting yesterday. Well, some of it anyway. I closed my phone. And I just couldn't bear it. I can't see two people I love fight and that too, because of me. They were fighting about how I'm falling behind in my studies and hardly socialize and they blamed each other. Mom went away to her sister's house and hasn't been here all day today and Dad was also away for most of the day. I feel like I'm responsible..."
