"Hi, Steve. So I was just going through some of our photos and I swear there's one of you where your zipper is open."
She laughed and I found myself chuckling a little as well. Her emotions were so contagious.
"I remember it clearly. We were at the beach with Raven and the others that day. You remember that, don't you? You hoisted me up into the air and I almost drowned when you dropped me in the water. You got such a beating from me afterwards. I really miss those days. You need to come back, okay? I love you, Steve."
I swallowed the bile forming in my throat. I'm sorry Ari, I apologized to her silently. I can't remember.
