I wake up from my bed and get up onto my feet. I open the door, and head into the kitchen. There I see Rocket in his PJ's eating some waffles. I don't know if I should tell him or not, that I talked to his brother. Rocket looks up seeing me look sad.

"Hey you okay?" Rocket asked me.

I look over to him and I sigh.

"No I'm not," I say as I walk over to the fridge.

"What the problem Chris, you can tell me," Rocket says.

That's when I turned my hands into fists, I didn't know what to do. Should I tell him, or should I not? He is my best friend and we tell each other things, even our own backgrounds. Although Rocket never told me about his family, why? Why wouldn't he talk about it! That's when I slam my fist into the refrigerator. I hurt my knuckles in the process, but I don't care.

"Woah Chris are you okay!?" Rocket shouted standing up from his chair.

Rocket jumps off his chair and walks toward me, as I hear his loud raccoon feet.

I fell to the floor in defeat as I didn't know what to do. The next thing I start to do is cry.

"Chris what's wrong you know I'm here for you," Rocket says as he puts his paw on my shoulder.

"Do it, he's your friend!" A voice tells me.

"He doesn't deserve to know!" Another voice tells me but just louder.

Everything's happening at once I shout, "ARGGHHH!" I say as I put my hands on my head moving all over the floor and I bump into the kitchen table. I hug Rocket tightly as I don't know what to do then I spill the beans.

"I talked to your brother okay Rocket! I just don't know what to do!" I shout, crying, but also frustrated.

Rocket tights his grip on my hug, as I feel the fur going against my hoodie.

"Chris, don't speak to him again," Rocket says, releasing me and looking into my eyes.

He's serious, that makes me just think.

"I'll go get dressed," I plainly say.

I walk back into my room and close the door. As I remove my PJ's I think about what to do. I still need to know what's going on with Rocket's family. Then I finally decide that I'm going to see Rocket's family. I put on my gear and walked out of my bedroom door. I walk down the stairs to the bottom part of the ship. Rocket made a small escape pod just in case we needed to abandon ship. Even though Rocket would be just with the ship it doesn't stop me from knowing about Rocket's family. I go into the pod, and close the door. I see Rocket looking worried as heck.

He pounds the glass, "No don't do this Chris!" Rocket yells.

"Pod launching in 5," the pod's coms say.

I walk to the glass, a tear comes dripping off my cheek. I put my hand on the glass as it matches Rocket's paw position.

"I love you Rocket, I'll come back to you. You will always be my best friend, I promise," I say.

"1."

The pod launches out of the ship as I see Rocket become smaller until I see he is a small dot.

"I'm sorry Rocket, but I'm doing this for you," I say sobbing on the floor.

I sit on the floor and wait until I calm down, then I get up standing in the pod. I walk over to the terminal programming it to go to Halfworld. As I sit and wait for the pod to land on Halfworld. I sit in the pod's pilot chair, looking out in the galaxy seeing the stars shine.

"It's beautiful, if only Dad was here," I say.
