"This looks good," I say lifting up the jacket.
Me and Ranger were in a clothing store, and I came across this nice looking jacket.
I read the tag saying it's the, "Hero Jacket, I want it," I say.
I slip on the jacket over my tech shirt. I have my hoodie over the jacket.
"You look good Chris," Ranger compliments.
When we went up to the cashier I was about to pay, when Ranger said, "I got it, Chris."
I smile and see him pay the required units for the jacket, "Why did you do that?" I ask.
Ranger looks at me and gives me a small smile, "Because we are friends aren't we?" Ranger says.
I give a small smile and nod, "You're right," I replied.
When we walk out of the store Ranger tells me something, "Hey, Chris, there is a blacksmith in the city. I think he could upgrade your shoes."
I nod, "Sure why not?" I say.
After a couple minutes of walking and talking around the city we finally made it to the blacksmith. I open the door as Ranger follows behind me. I see a man behind a furnace, looking at the fire.
I can tell the man is the blacksmith, he is a bear. He turns around looking at Ranger with a happy smile on his face, "Ranger, it's good to see you!" The blacksmith says with joy.
"It's good to see you too, Old Friend," Ranger says.
Ranger climbs onto my back as I lean against the counter. Ranger stands on the counter talking to his 'Old Friend'.
Ranger turns around at me saying, "Chris, hand him the shoes so he can upgrade them."
I look at the man seeing a small smile on his face, "It's okay Son, I will make sure the shoes are even better!" The blacksmith says.
Ranger nods saying I can trust him. I take off my Hero Runners, and hand them to him. I am left with my white socks on. Ranger and me sit down in some chairs waiting to see the new upgrade.
I miss Rocket, he was my best friend. I left him there on my ship all alone. What was I thinking!?
I start to cry which makes Ranger notice, "Hey Chris, what's wrong?" Ranger asks.
I collapse to the ground on my knees, "I left him there Ranger, I left Rocket on my ship! Now he's all alone and no one is with him. A good friend wouldn't do that would, he? I just want answers!" I say crying and then I pound my fist on the floor.
Ranger touches my shoulder and then raises my chin to make my eyes meet his, "Listen Chris, you will get your answers just be patient," Ranger says.
"I have been waiting and you know what I get, nothing!" I shout.
Ranger sighs, seeing my hands turn into fists as they rest on my sides.
"After I get my upgraded shoes I want to know why Rocket is mad at his family! What did you guys do!?" I say forcefully.
I sit back in my chair with my arms crossed. Ranger is just silent and doesn't speak.
"Wow thanks sir," I say politely.
I slip on my brand new boots, then we leave the shop and we walk to the park. I sit on a bench, "Felhopher, if you wish to know I can tell you, but do know what you will see might make you cry," Ranger warns.
"I don't care, I want to know," I say.
Ranger sighs, "Alright then," Ranger says as he gets up and waves his hand for me to follow him.
