I want on like nothing happened and a few days later I'm back in the market with the sun shinning high in the sky, I glance at different objects in different stalls as I look for things I need. I quickly check off the things I already bought on my list, candles, canned food, matches, lantern which I got one cheap and it's a beautiful blue, I got a bottle of cheap but good smelling cologne which I forgot to get and will be needing to use since vampires tend to smell horrible to humans and the scent of Gregory's family is probably clinging to my own scent, and a book I think Gregory might like.

I was so into my thoughts that I didn't see a woman walked in front of me causing us to collide and knocking her down to the ground.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." I said as I help her off the ground and pick up her basket.

"It's ok I wasn't looking where I going either." She smiled at me as she fixed her sun hat after I handed her basket back right as a little boy runs up.

"Mom!" He quickly hides behind his mom's leg once he noticed me, she smiles at him.

"Dad can't find a babysitter." She frowns.

"I can babysit if you want?" I quickly asked causing her head to jerk towards me.

"You can?" She looked doubtful.

"I have another job but I'm sure I can fit it in plus I'm really good with kids." I can really use the extra money, she smiled.

"Ok I'll give you a chance." So we exchanged names and talked about when, where, and why she needed one in the first place before we parted ways.

Warmth filles me when I see a sleeping Gregory on the bed when I step through the door before I put everything I got away. Once I have taken a seat on the bed I jerked my shoes off and sit them on the floor, pulling the cover up to my chest  as I lay down facing Gregory and started memorize every feature of his beautiful stone face as I wait for sleep to pull me into the familiar darkness.

A few days later I yawned as I pick up the watch off the night stand that I got a day ago when I want back to the market to get some new clothes but I hardly look at it. After seeing the time I throw the cover off my body and stand without waking Gregory who's still asleep on the other side of the bed and grab some of the new clothes from my truck, I took a bath earlier after Gregory gone to bed a few hours ago and try to get some sleep before I have to go to the Thompsons.

I pulled on the new black skinny jeans and the sightly worn-out black with red high lights leather boots but right as I'm about to put my black short sleeve shirt on I feel something cold touch the scars where my wings were causing me to flinch and spin around to find Gregory standing there with his left arm reaching out.

" What are you doing up so early?" I said after I let a breath out in relief that it was just him.

"I felt you leave the bed, you didn't say anything about going anywhere so I wanted to ask you before you left." He pouted after he let his arm fall to his side and watch as I pull on my shirt with disappointment that the thin piece of clothing covering my body from him.

"I got to babysit a young boy in a few minutes, I need the extra money plus they couldn't find one so I offered." I pass him to grab a small bottle of cologne and put it in my pocket before I throw on my jacket. I hand the book that was lay on top of my jacket to Gregory.

"Thought you might like it." I smiled at him before heading out the door and out into the evening cold air
