I thought I was living and wasn't alone but I truly didn't know until I meet you.
Your eyes of ruby called to me with a melody I have never heard, at first I thought I was...

Air leaves from my mouth in a gasp before a copper taste fills it and pours over my lips, suddenly someone put my arm over their shoulder and started moving as I realized what happened. I look down to see a stake has lodged itself inside my chest and that blood is staining everything. I slightly turn my head to see Gregory as he quickly move us through the back entrance of the catacombs and into our room before he gently lays me down, he places my head on his lap when he seat down on the bed.
"Pull it out." Gregory's eyes widen at my demand and began to his shook his head no, I sighed. Lifting my arms send shocks of pain through my whole body but I push through it and grab the stake with shaky hands, quickly pulling it out sends a pain fill scream through my closed mouth. The sound of wood hitting the concrete floor echoes throughout the room, after a few seconds anxiety sets in when I noticed that I'm not healing. I lift my hand from the wound to see my hand covered in blood before going limp as I quickly accepted my fate when I realized that I have save Gregory's life but the price of my own and that Gregory's vampire venom has weakened me but I didn't voice my concern. I look up into these beautiful ruby red eyes that are focused on me only to see sadness, anger, and helpness while tears began to fall.
"Please don't cry." I spoke after I wip away some of his tears but more continues to fall
"How can I not...the one I love is dying in my arms." He whispered in sorrow as he lays a cold hand against the side my face and I lean into it for a few seconds before I began to kiss his fingers, gregory lays a kiss on my forehead before pulling my lips into his filling our souls with long lasting love.
"I love you." I said once we pulled apart and noticed that it's getting harder to breath, with a swift hand I pulled a silver pocket watch from one of my pockets.
"I got this for you." I hand him the watch I had bought a while back.
"It's beautiful." He whispered as he trace a finger over the cover before he leans down to and whispered in my ear.
"I love you too." He kiss the side it and intertwined our fingers together, I close my eyes when my vision started to fail me.
"No...nononono, keep your eyes open." He sobs as panic and horror fills his chest.
"Please, stay with me." The room is filled with his cries and pleads but they want unheard. Gregory want silent when he heard the last breath leaves me and soon my body began to glow.
"Parker." He whispered as he watched my body suddenly breaks into bright little particles flowing up to the ceil before dying out. Nothing was left causing Gregory to lean down where Parker was laying and grab the sheet in a tight grip before letting out a loud sob into the bed.
••
For days Gregory stayed in his and Parker's room, not knowing what to do with his broken heart. He stayed until he couldn't stand the site of anything that reminded him of his Parker, for the last he shut the door. He lingered for a few seconds before forcing himself to walk towards his family. Red ruby eyes stare at the engraved words on the back of the cover of the silver pocket watch before it's put away and the eyes closed.
