~Thursday~ Red's POV
We have been to eight different stores to look for the 'Perfect' dress.
"Grandma can we please take a break? I think my legs might fall off if I take one more step..." I asked her as we walked out of the tenth store, who knew there were so many stores to shop at?
"Just one more store Red." She relied as we walked in. That's exactly what she said last time....
~Seventeen Stores Later And A Lot Of Fitting Rooms.....~
We finally found the perfect dress, and I thought it would never end! I though as I stared at myself in the full length mirror. The dress was tight at the top, hugging my curves, at the waist it flowed out to my ankles. It was a light red color that darken at the bottom of the dress.
"I love it!!!" I told my grandmother as she came in to look at the dress. Once she saw it she smiled.
"We are getting that dress for the ball." She informed me as I smiled like a crazy person.
I can't wait to wear this dress to the dance!! I thought as I changed into my normal clothes, jeans, combat boots and a graphic T.
"Red, Can I have the dress?" Asked my grandmother. I gave it to her as I walked out of the changing room. After we payed, we finally got food. I swear I was going to starve from lack of food. I thought as we eat our sandwiches. After we're done eating we walk out to the car. Getting in we start our small drive back home.
The trees flew by as I looked out the window. Almost too soon we arrived at my home.
"Bye grandmother, thank you. I've had lots of fun." I told her as I got out with my bags.
"Bye Red." My grandmother called out as I shut the door to the car with my bag in hand. I opened the door to my house as I shut it behind me I took off my shoes.
"Did you get a dress?" My mother asked me as I walked into the kitchen.
"Yes, I think it's quite perfect. Now all I need is a mask..." I replied as I sat down at the counter, watching my mother cook dinner.
"I found a box that has your name on it, I put it in you're room."
My mother informed me as she put the bread in the oven. Jumping up from my chair I ran up to my room, only to find a small box sitting on my bed.
Walking over to my bed I sat down and picked up the wooden box. Red was carved into the side of the wood.
What's in here??
Is it poisonous?!??
Yep, some stalker would give a sixteen year old a poisonous gift and leave it on her doorstep. Totally what happened.... I thought as I opened it slowly.A beautiful silver mask lay inside the box, it sparked as I picked it up. Wow. This is the most beautiful mask I have ever seen.... I thought as I looked at it.
At the bottom of the box there was a note. Picking it up I read,
Thought you might need this for the ball. :)
~JasonThat's thoughtful of him, At least it's not some stalker.... I thought after I read it.
"Red! Dinner is done!" My mother yelled from down stairs.
"Coming!" I yelled back as I put the mask aside and ran into the dining room.
I sat down and started to eat. My mother had made clam chowder with home made bread. Yum! After a lot of awkward stares across the table I was finally done with my dinner. I walked back to my room and got ready for bed. Hoping in the shower I washed my hair with conditioner and shampoo and my body with soap, then I got out. After getting into my comfy PJ's I got in bed.
How did my life turn so upside down? I can't Believe I'm going to a ball tomorrow!!
Who will I meet? Will I meet the Prince??? I wondered as I fell asleep dreaming of tomorrow.
