I went in to talk to Paris. I felt terrible for being so abrupt and rude to Laylah and Jalen.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked her as I closed the door.
"Ok, my head hurts like hell," she responded.
"How'd it happen?"
"I don't know, I kinda got lost in my thoughts," she responded.
"Cause that makes more sense," I said sarcastically. In response, she just stared at me. "I was a complete idiot," I added.
"What happened?" She asked.
"They told me you and Laylah got into an argument and I blamed the entire thing on her and Jalen. I mean arguments happen you can't overreact like we both did. Now I bet Laylah feels even worse and on top of that I kept saying her and Jalen were dating." I explained.
"Matisse you're right. We both overreacted and I owe two people an apology only if they accept it. But they're not dating. I bet he's the number one best friend now too." She responded.
"What do you mean," I asked.
"Before the accident, I told Jalen she's his best friend," she whispered.
"Aw Paris we're here for you, you just have to apologize to them," Joel said interrupting. Where did he come from and how did I miss a 7-foot man?
We talked for a few more minutes until Tobias walked in and asked Paris...
"Hey Paris, do you want something to eat?"
"Yes, pls," she responded.
I checked the time and it was 10 pm. We have an early practice tomorrow, so I went home.
It was 11 pm and I was exhausted. We had practice today but at least tomorrow is our day off since we have a preseason game on Thursday. Soon the visiting hours would be over so I would have to go home. Laylah is gonna stay with me for a good amount of time till she and Paris work things out. I guess she likes me more than Tobias 😎(as a brother).
